If someone takes him up on this, I think i still have a few ANA recordings to throw into the mix as well taht people might be interested in. I know my copy of 5-2-98 is also ana(low) - not sure if it is a 2 or 3. I'd be curious to hear how yours sounds.

As for the Rosemont Show, I've never heard it - is there anything particularly special about it that we're missing out on?

I assume both shows are originally from the complete sources listed on spfc?

i can only assume, as I havent heard them yet (not at home where the tapes are). I know most copys of 1996-10-06 are cut at the end though, so hopefully this is complete. the guy seems to have second gens of all three rosemont shows.

i have a kenwood CT-203, which is a fairly decent tape deck. then, currently, an audigy 2 sound card...though i've been exploring options on a higher-end recording card so that may soon be an option.

i use sonar to record the audio on my pc.

any complete copy of this would be great. my "ana-L" version has the end of silverfuck missing, along with all of F&G.

i know a guy who has dat masters of all 3 rosemont shows, alternate sources of any of the circulating ones. lives about a mile away from me too. it's just a shame that he's a little hoarding bitch(he would fit in well amongst the "old-school" SP community).

Let me guess, Mike DeWitt? He has many other DAT clones of shows that aren't circulating except on high or unknown gen tape > CDR copies.

Maybe if we all nag him he would be reluctant and give them up..

Fixed. Or at least, that's how I think you did it. Something like that.

ok. So the 1996 has silverfuck and farewell + goodnight, and the 1998 has the songs with cheap trick as well.

edit--listening to the tapes....1998/05/02 is much cleaner than the previous version I had (ANA-?). gets worse at it gets heavier.

1996/10/06 is pretty similar to the most common version of the previous night....a little more muffled maybe, and the bass is kinda low...once I get to the end of the show I'll see if its the same taper (guy marks his recordings at the end of a show from what I recall)
