idk i find that i actively search out music less and less and just accept things that come to me by nature. not to make it sound so black and white but maybe you know what i mean?

i think its the definition of what music is (or isn't) is what changes

i really don't actively search for it very hard but i'm kind of good at learning shit

i think my main problem is just sticking with the shit you listened to in high school and justifying it as being mature

it just sounds like a load of hogshit

i think the contrary is true, that if you cling to music of your youth beyond reason then you're actually trying not to grow up

i mean this is a conversation between two audiophiles and i'm talking about philistine dinosaurs on the SP board so it's two different universes

they never ever actively searched out music and don't even really know what the hell that even means

everything they ever liked was spoonfed to them by pop culture

I really like it. Have only given it a few listens all the way through but the Neil Young cover opener is very, very nice. I've listened to that on repeat a lot. I love her voice and what they did with it.

i really like "at your door" and "running from the sun".

the transition from the outro to "at your door" to the segue (the track after) with the voicemail message is bone-chilling.

Agreed. I just listened to it again on the way in and I remember really liking both of those. The album flows really well. I hate that word but I hardly ever find albums I can listen to all the way through anymore. I always have to resist the urge to skip a track or two or get annoyed because one of the songs seems to stick out like a sour thumb.

One of those lost gems of the 90s. I listen to it every couple weeks. Better than You'd Prefer An Astronaut by a little bit. There is not a bad song on this album. Matt Talbot's vocals + Tim Lash's crunching guitars = heavenly.

I own the entire Meat Puppets discography, save their first album and this is one that I go back to often. Another album without a bad song. It always surprises me that it is out-of-print. Sam, Nail It Down, Whirlpool, and Forbidden Places are the highlights for me.

I will listen to this when I am already a little depressed because I am weird like that. Aaron Marsh's voice is so emotional. All around good album. Too bad they aren't around anymore.

I listen to Castor when I am in a Hum mood because they sounded so similar. They toured with each other and were both from Champaign, IL. A decent album.
