Default Billy Corgan on Family Guy

hahaha anyone see this last night? Priceless.

Peter was trying to do some math in his head and they showed a bubble coming up from it with all sorts of fractions and numbers floating around and then this sad piano music begins and the bubble fades into that picture of Billy and Doug on that ride at DisneyLand and Peter goes "ahhh sorry, I was just thinking of baby-man Billy Corgan sad on a ride at Disneyland" or something along those lines.

See, I disagree.

I grew up on both South Park and Family Guy, and began to hate both because it seemed like they were just going for shock-value, and the writing was kinda lazy so I stopped watching both for years.

Recently a station out here in Canada plays both shows in re-runs and I started giving both a chance again and South Park is still the same ole "shocking for the shake of being shocking" whereas Family Guy was actually cracking me up with a lot or original quirks and comedy in their writing.

It's not very sophisticated writing by any means, but unlike South Park it's actually simple minded laughs without seeming "edgy" or controversial"... I mean teenage kids might be inspired by South Parks bullshit, but it's just old-hat to me.

South Park is infinitely better, smarter and funnier than family guy. That's why you suck.

The end of a show is long past due when it starts pillaging the internet for memes.

gotta agree there I have been loving the season long plot lines. It was their way of keeping it fresh for themselves, I think.

You almost never hear of creators of a popular show like that still writing the material even after the first season

South Park is a lot better written, funnier, and smarter than Family Guy. Family Guy pretty much sucks... I mean I found the old ones funny when I was 14 but it's pretty obnoxious

once you recognize the family guy formula it is hard to ignore it and makes the show a little annoying. but im gonna take it over 2 broke girls haha. if you ever go through a bout of insomnia and you've already gone through the office, parks and rec, and 30 rock twice, try family guy. there is barely any important plot really just joke set ups. an easy snooze.

I know that Family Guy's thing is badly timed, lolsorandom references, but that was lame, even for them.

But see, when I'm watching a silly show like South Park or Family Guy, I'm not watching it for any sort of educational value. When South Park does it it's kind of preachy and not very thought provoking. Family Guy owns that it's just random, funny nonsense and each episode at least has a few hilarious moments.
