I love how genuinely troubled Rivers sounds on this album.

You sure burned me.
I'll go ahead and lump you with all the other asinine asswads who have gravitated from friendly ground to deciding they don't care for me for reasons unbeknown to me on a whim. Alot of the Pinkerton tunes are sloppy. That's one of the things that makes that album unique when compared to everything else they've done, but you can get off your high horse, its not the best thing since sliced bread. Im not even going to bother responding seriously about that album, its Weezer for fucks sake. |

The album is way better than I expected and the songs do grow on you if you give them time. Reminds me why I started listening to the band in the first place. Apart from "Thought I Knew" and "Cold Dark World", which I think are rather mediocre, I have absolutely no complaints. Dreamin' and TGMTEL are fucking great and The Angel and The One closes the album perfectly.
+Troublemaker and Everybody Get Dangerous would make fine singles one day. As far as I'm concerned, they just released their third best album. Nice to see them doing their thing without forcing a hit formula. Lessons learned from Make Believe. |

the one i really don't like is King. what a bad song.
just in case anyone's not aware, the other guys in the band do sing parts or wholes of songs on the album. Everybody Get Dangerous: Brian sings the chorus Thought I Knew: Brian sings the whole song Cold Dark World: Scott sings the whole song except for the chorus, which is Rivers Automatic: Pat sings the whole song (i think this is the best non-Rivers song) King: Scott sings the whole song, though i believe there's some Rivers background vocals. there was also a demo of Pig that leaked a year or two ago. i could up that if someone wants me to.

And I want to add that Weezer has matured very well - despite what some of you crap-face nostalgics think. Look, I realize that we can't go back to 1996 and I am sad about that. Aside from a little junk here and there, Weezer has done fairly well striking a balance between rehashing their sound and evolving their music.

weezer is mtv's artist of the week. there's 13 vids up on mtv.com somewhere. quite a few of them are short ones with them hanging out with johnny knoxville, but there's a video for The Greatest Man That Ever Lived and a live "hootenanny" version of Pork And Beans. there's also a live performances of Automatic and Though I Knew. they made me appreciate the songs a bit more. the Automatic is especially cool video and performance wise.
but yeah, Scott should just stick to playing the bass.

i'm not exactly sure why this is, but i completely missed the boat on pinkerton when it came out. since then, i'd been halfway familiar with a handful of the songs. this week i finally bought it and just want to say what an awesome album that is.

That's "Life Is What You Make It" (sung by Pat) and "Meri Kuri" (sung by rivers in japanese) they were purchased from the Japanese iTunes and them burnt and then ripped as 320 CPB mp3s. i can also get a flac rip of the cds if these aren't good enough. i have "The Weight" i believe i posted it in one of my last uploads. if i didn't i will upload it, but it's only a 128 kbps mp3s.
