i mean it doesn't seem like bev had anything to do with it, parker just landed badly from what i recall, but that was chillingly prophetic

such a shame, it looked really bad. and he played so well, too.

good game, i was afraid the spurs were gonna drop it when they came out sleepy after halftime but they powered through for a huge finish

yeah aldridge was real bad

i feel bad because you can tell pop tried to up his confidence and have him take shots and participate but the result was just him taking mid to long range jumpers that went nowhere

kawhi might be my fav player though

i compared boozer & aldridge at similar ages and altogether boozer was better

and that was 31 year old being run out on a rail carlos boozer years

i mean this is a debacle he just aged instantly don't buy big men at 30 just don't

MAX
CONTRACT
MAX
MAX
MAX

i WANT the spurs to lose now, dump lamarcus to phoenix for nothing, manu & parker retire bitch, start youth & figure something else out

3 year retool & kawhi is only 28...

at the same time i can totally see chris paul playing here & re-energizing aldridge. paul gets hurt a bit but i think his game will age well

but more than anything manu & tony retire bitch (i actually think this knee injury is enough to kill parker's career, seems like one of those big lost year injuries) terrible but a blessing. he's 35 but its like he's got 4 extra years on him because he started at 18

you know whats funny is that for as much animosity as these fanbases have for each other we've only met in the playoffs 4 times including this series and houston has won them all (80, 81, 95)

its not like sa/dallas or sa/lakers at all

rockets fans just jelly tho i said it forever ago

i know what you mean is you're looking forward to the rejuvenation of your fav team but that reads a bit weird

i'm not even a 'spurs fan' and i'll be very sad when parker/ginob retire. let alone because of injury

man watching an nba game is a mental grind

not even the basketball, just all those grown ass people acting like infants, dancing frantically whenever the camera happens to pause on them, or going apeshit at huge mascot puppets doing stupid shit on court, or those awful fucking guys spattering drivel into their mics while telling some asshole he only has to do X to win a sofa RIGHT NOW.

it's like the worst thing imaginable by crowds & showrunners alike is to have 10 seconds of just a break with nothing happening. teh ppl must be entertained always at all costs! MAKE SOME NOISE COME ON WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

it's mindblowingly depressing to think this is what american folk actually look and behave like, it's beyond being infantile and is just cringey as fuck

you hate the sport just deal with it and stop trying to argue me into agreeing with you because like i said before if you want to watch a team that doesn't react to anything then my boys are the prime ticket

i actually like having fun tho so

best game of the playoffs thus far...

I'd just as well the Dubs avoid the Spurs again, this wasn't the case for these playoffs until Kerr went down for the duration of them. I don't agree with those that say Houston would give the W's a tougher series, they thrive in an up-tempo 3-point environment. Pop vs Kerr was close to a wash, Pop v Mike Brown is advantage Spurs.

crunch time...Harden looks unstoppable. Don't leave the shot to him if you want to win.

Going to game 7 fuck

These teams are just softening each other up for warriors slaughter. NeNe hurt, Parker hurt, Kawhi hurt tonight, Harden not totally himself

it's so much easier to say that rather than address the actual criticism, which is that the US seems to be an infantile nation in many ways

US as opposed to who? Have you seen European football fans?

What would your ideal live sporting event environment resemble exactly?

i don't watch football but you can be rest assured that a basketball game in the Euroleague, ULEB or even in Israel is just simply a sporting event without elaborate mascot performances, sofa winning competitions during timeouts and air time specifically dedicated to people noticing they're on camera and doing embarrassing arm flailing dances

there might be some cheerleaders or something but that's about it

Much like the NBA was till the 2000's or so...it was a gradual climb to what it is now, but somewhere along the way, it has gotten out of hand. I wouldn't blame the fans though, the owners and players are catering to the whole of certain demographics, not basketball fans as such.
