help w/ remembering the title of a cartoon movie

the other day i started to watch the black cauldron thinking it was this movie i vaguely remember but i was wrong.

the movie im thinking of starts out with a boy sleeping in his upstairs bedrrom, a squirrel wakes him and through some ruse lures the boy outside

...

later the boy or possibly someone else opens a door between worlds, through the door all this black ooze comes crawling. that's the start of the problems in the movie, this evil coming through a door that was ignorantly opened between worlds

does anyone recognize what im talking about?

Okay this is pretty strange, I just pulled something from the very back of my memory, probably one of the earliest things I can even remember... I so very vaguely remember this, is this what you're talking about?

if you get the chance, get the game for the original nintendo
one of the best nes games released imo

Apparently you can watch all of little nemo on youtube. I watched some of it, I really didn't remember much at all, just a few blurry things in the back of my head considering I only watched it once or twice when I was around 5.
