I've been binge-watching the original Will and Grace show.
This... did not age well.

I used 2 b obsessed w this show. Think I lost track around maybe season 5? Is that when the guest stars started getting ridiculous?
I dunno. I liked when Sandra Bernhardt played herself in season 3(?). Woody Harrelson's character was too obnoxious. I'll always have a soft spot for Sean Hayes because he was the first very openly gay character I watched on prime time. It made me feel a certain way. |

Will is so smug tho. Never warmed to his character.
They're all pretty terrible people which i should be fine with because seinfeld is my fave show of all time for like 25 years running and they were all huge assholes. |

I always liked Friends on the periphery of my regular shows growing up. If it was on, sure, okay, but never made a point to watch it.

Having said that, Ross' "PIVOT" and Joey wearing all of Chandler's clothes at once will never not be funny to me.

Frasier has survived through time pretty gracefully.
I'm rewatching Lost at the moment. It's...OK so far. More comedy moments than I remember. |

When they added it to Netflix a few years back, I was surprised at just how much gay panic humor was in there. Were the writers trying to tell us something about themselves? |

oh man, yeah, that's a big part of the un-rewatchability of that show. plus, all the dudes - ALL of them - were absolutely emotionally stunted teenagers.

They just dropped a dope Kevin Spacey/K-Pax joke.
I wish my old flame K Space didn't turn out to be a creep. I miss crushing on him. |

Lost is still a pretty impressive show to me in some ways, especially the first 2-3 seasons. The work put into the pilot episode was crazy. BTW, did you know that a lot of the sound fx and even some of the instrumental noises in the "theme song" were done on scrap parts from the airplane they used? I enjoyed it all at the time, but in hindsight the show loses itself in its own ridiculousness after a few seasons and becomes more of a niche science fiction show, whereas earlier they did a lot to make it feel universal like touching on social issues, current events, and playing up the multicultural aspect of the survivors' identities. I remember watching the original AD a few years ago and once it was over i never felt the need to revisit it at all.
There are a few funny scenes that pop into my head, most notably the chicken dance thing. And when the matriarch said "here's some money, go buy a star war or something". |

I'm on a weird vibe where some things haven't been ruined for me while others have been. No pattern or justification.
