Blissed and Gone (Drone Version)
http://www.stereogum.com/1702730/the...-version/mp3s/
Is this a 2014 creation with the original vocal tracks? If so, fuck that. |

Does it really matter? It's a really nice version! I actually prefer this one over the Judas 0 version.

I believe it matters. This version is nice enough, I still think I prefer the Judas 0 version.

alt versions that are actually different from the originals are always welcome.

Yeah this is cool no matter when it was made / mixed. I do hope there aren't too many 2014 versions though.

I like to say that the Judas O version "died for our sins"
I like to say this in my head; no one will talk about the Pumpkins with me But anyway this version seems more... I dunno, respectful of the original demo? Yeah? All those bleeps and loops in the Judas O version always feel like a direct assault on the song, like Gallant Billy is playing the demo and Goofus Billy is shooting electronic sounds at it to drown it out. On a first listen, I don't super-love this version either, I guess just the demo will always be the Platonic ideal form of it for me, but it's aight and at least seems more fitting to the feel of the song. |

is it? wouldn't it mention that, if this was the case?
some adore reissue tracks mention 2014 on the tracklist. this track doesn't. Quote:

it tickles my black heart that, for this reissue, they are letting actual news sites preview tracks instead of that awful "sips of tea" bullshit monte was doing.

Aye that's the one. I forget which release came first. But if you hear a version of the song that sounds like someone with a synthesizer is giving it an atomic wedgie, that's the one I mean.

Ya, I love that version. It is like the song to listen to before the apocalypse.

i like this version and this idea. it's just a completely different remix of the original version. sounds like they added that cascading guitar part. can't recall if it is in the original or not. but definitely reworked. i like this idea.

Its difficult to listen to this song now, as I keep waiting to hear those annoying electronic blips and blurps. That being said, I think this version works better. Easier to listen to, and captures the heart of the song.
. . . SOooo, are we getting one release a day? The leaks continue! Don't alert Monte! |

I'm under the impression that this was an original version of the song, then they later mucked it up by adding all of the bleeps and bloops later.

Very nice version. Does justice to the song, the bleep/bloop version doesn't.

It's good except the vocal track seems disjointed from the music noise track.

I prefer this version over the SBA version. Demo still reigns supreme, though.

Yeah it sounds disjointed but I like it, probably I'm just biased because it's one of my favorite songs. Contrary to the other tracks, this one actually made me feel excited for the reissue.
