Call of Duty 4

I dont think you can get on-line without some patches/content, but I dont know how much space they take up. Mainly for the reasons Debaser said. Ive only got about 9 gb lerft, and i dont really have much downloaded. Couple of tv shows and demos. Ill try and check later how much space the Gears of War content is taking up for reference.

some game saves can be big, I think Bioshock was 40+mb or something for each one, but most are only a couple megs. If you really think you won't be bothering with downloading content like demos and so forth then just go the Arcade, but the premium really isn't that much more and it at least gives you the choice. I have a 20gb HD on mine and have about 9gb left. I have like 55 arcade games so that takes up a bit. I have a 64mb memory unit as well though that I sometimes back up important saves on in case my 360 and/or HD dies

I'm probably just going to be playing Guitar Hero and the rare sports game. I really want the xbox for streaming audio and video wirelessly. I don't need hard drive space for that so much, do I?

Are Call of Duty and Halo good enough to be interesting to someone who normally doesn't enjoy FPS games? Orange Box looks pretty cool to me because of that Portal game.

The saves files no, i dont think. I checked my "games" tab takes up about 1 gb, which is mainly about 350mb for Gears and 500mb for Halo2. Id say thats because of the downloaded content, the free extra maps.

I'm a big RPG player. Are there any good ones out/about to come out? Someone told me Blue Dragon was disappointing. Eternal Sonata looks pretty sweet

It's hard for me to say, I didn't enjoy FPS games until I played Halo (the first one). I'd say Halo and Call of Duty may be too hard and frustrate casual gamers. Bioshock and The Orange Box definitely have great stories to carry you through and probably worth it. Bioshock is actually pretty easy for an FPS.

Mass Effect is "The" rpg for xbox. It's not bad. The game centers on dialogue scenes where the acting is superb. The story is epic and great. But the actual nuts and bolts could use polish and the side quests are all repeating level design rubbish. You can beat the main quest in about 20 hours.

ok, scratch that. I looked up online how you can attach a FAT32 formatted drive via USB and play media from that. does anyone here have experience doing that?
