Montreal Bell Center
Has anyone been to concerts at this venue? Do they have general admisison up front with no seats?
I went to see The Cure there in 2015 and there were seats up front, but they aren't the kind of band that you're gonna wanna stand up in a mosh pit style. Would love some feedback. |

It depends on the artist. Every time I've seen NIN there it's been standing only. I was also at that Cure show, so yeah, sometimes it's seats.

Seriously? He thinks they're going to fill that? Ahahaha p.s. Your arenas are fucking huge! Wembley Arena is only 12,500 capacity and that was too big. Even the o2 (Millennium Dome) at 20,000 is still a couple of thousand short of the Bell Center. Last edited by whywontyoulistn : 02-16-2018 at 11:53 AM. |

% that pic is at full capacity with the stage as far back as possible. They'll probably have the stage in the middle of the hockey rink making it much smaller, like for the OACH show. IIRC the OACH show at the bell center was general admission for the floor. I think this one will be too.
see different setups: http://www.centrebell.ca/en/page/venue_specifications I think it'll be theater setup, 5000-9000 seats it's easy for the promoter to move the stage back if there's a demand for more seats... or move it forward if tickets aren't selling... only opening sections as the demand presents itself. the evenko site (the promoter) says general admission, but that might get updated on the day of the ticket sales because the seats are not general. NIN at the bell center two years ago was general admission for the floor. so it depends on the band... estimated age of the audience. edit to add: the acoustics at hockey arenas sucks. it always sucks. don't expect the show to sound any good. even standing next to the soundboard isn't gonna save the sound. Yeah, Wembley was built as a swimming pool, and it sounds exactly as you'd expect. An actual theatre would be far preferable to an arena cut down to theatre size, but then you wouldn't have the band name over the doors of a giant venue, and we all know that matters more than sound quality.

the decent 'theater' with good sound we have is 3000 capacity. I'm gonna go see Noel Gallager on sunday there. tickets are the same price range. That will it'll sound decent at least and be sold out.. SP would have that sold out as well.
but if they want to make the big $$ they've got to play the bigger venues that weren't designed for bands. |

A Band of Orcs is a fantasy themed American heavy metal band formed in Santa Cruz, California,in 2007. The current band line up includes five members known only as: Gogog Bloodthroat, Cretos Filthgrinder, Hulg ElfRipper, Oog Skullbasher and Gronk!. The band claims to be a tribe of Orc warriors sent to Earth by "The Gruesome Grimp" to "bring forth the Domination" [1] They provide a very theatrical live show and always appear wearing very detailed silicone masks.

The show is peppered with commentary from each member in broken English, especially lead singer Gogog Bloodthroat who is known to give commands to the audience and make apocalyptic speeches between songs.

I don't know who in their right mind would by right now off the stubhub prices. 150 dollars for upper deck. I can't see the demand getting that high. |

If SP played at the place des arts, it wouldn’t be full as well. Just like Noel Gallagher right now.

I initially had a nice side seat front 112 because I think I'm too old for floor now, gave it up and got a floor seat instead. How does seated floor work, do people just stand in front of their chair?
Also I feel like a loser going alone since none of my friends were willing to pay 177$ for SP. Netphoria meetup? Last edited by Whicker : 02-23-2018 at 11:13 AM. |

but with the dwindling popularity we're making exceptions. so I'm glad you asked. i'll put you on the list and you'll get a PM a few weeks before. I'll be going to the meetup but not the show, unless I score some decent tickets for a decent price. |
