And what's the symbolism behind the old retired water tower on the cover of "Oceania"?

Corgan feeling like a sorted out Chicago dick...?

I'm wondering why "Day For Night" hadn't been released. Must have been a wonderful collection of songs to get recycled over several other albums.

Maybe we'll be able to hear those songs in its original beauty with the reissue of a now "Monuments To A Low Self-esteem" in 2024...
All songs together on one disc, possible by the half hour playing time of the original version.

If the 2 songs chosen were Cardinal Rules, Burnt Orange Black or Red Dirt I'd be very happy

Billy has announced today that the SP Christmas album will also have 2 Kwanzaa and Hanukkah songs written during the Day 4 Night era. Rejoice!

I think a lot of it had to do with the shit hitting the fan with that drummer from Theory Of A Dead Man that Billy was working with. They were recording and shit and then he leaked all of the tour dates ahead of time on his website and then he promptly got the boot.

Billy still hasn't addressed this is in any interviews or anything and the fanbase either didn't take notice, or just doesn't care I guess.

That happened after the album was postponed 2 or 3 times, so I don't think there was anything to do with that. Also because Diaz would be only a touring member.

But, you should have a read:

Being an SP fan in 2019 is the eternal try not cringe challenge.

why does it take so long to put out new releases especially over the last 5 - 6 years with SP materials being of such low and subpar quality? Most other bands would be able to record, remaster, and release within a week or two at this quality.

I'm really wondering why it takes Billy a year to put out MTAE or months and months for SAOSB Vol. 1.. seems like it should only take 1 week.

Because he's sitting there for 72-hour stretches splicing together the best syllable from every vocal take like

Yeah, I mean weren't they recording the Starla demo at like 3 a.m. in his apartment, you can hear the sirens going by, etc

Everything just takes longer when you get older, now he has the kids and stuff too. Is he working excessively and obsessively like in the MCIS days where he's choosing between 72 different takes of vocals for BWBW? No way.

I wouldn't care if the quality was still there, but it is amazing how bad some of the vocal takes and production are on his stuff from the last decade.

So if this holds true we may get like 1 or 2 good new bill songs with jimmy drums, this is something that still excites me, despite everything

What the hell is Meadow Goats?

Either way i don’t know if this counts as chords but it has to be one of my favorite chords in a sp song
