No way, weed is so much better than alcohol. My only problem is the actual smoke because I don't want my kid to smell it, but lucky for me I live in a state where it's legal and can buy tincture. Only problem there is that a small bottle of tincture costs $30

It was 3/4 the drummer they have now, and the rest some journeyman bro named Michael Urbano who also drummed from Smash Mouth for a time.

I suppose it's probably better to be a pot-head than an alcoholic, but they're both awful things to be. And in the case that someones gonna do one sparingly then I think it's definitely funner to drink beer.

Bottom line is they're both horrible to use as a crutch, and too many users treat them as one. True spiritual satisfaction comes with soberness.

Lol no Collective Soul fan here .

I suppose I should check 3EB out sometime. It's just that most of the stuff I've heard hasn't really been my cup of tea. I've always felt that by the time they broke that their sound was kinda dated... Almost like they missed the boat of what was going on in 1995 and came out with a generic version 3 years later.

Of course now it's kind of silly to think about, but in those days shit could sound super dated 2 years later.

I've had 7 beers in the fridge for almost a week and not felt the urge to touch them.

What the hell is wrong.

It's true. People who are addicted to pot or alcohol or any other drugs are at a spiritual low.

It's why you'll hardly ever find a contently happy stoner or drunk. They may be happy when they're under the influence, but they're constantly looking for an escape. It's not a good way to be.

Just flush it man. You'll be better off. Plus, you don't know when your employer might spring for a random drug test.

here's an old number you might enjoy called, "I will never be smart enough to understand that my personal experience is not indicative of anyone else's"

addiction sucks. not everyone who uses drugs is an addict. obviously. people have used drugs to induce spiritual experiences for thousands of fucking years. Just because your only setting when it comes to drugs is full-on addiction does not mean it's some kind of universal truth. It's only your truth.

Well look at you, you're a self proclaimed pot head and you're struggling more than most of us.

It sure isn't doing you any favors. Whats your reasoning for smoking so much? I'd wager that you're using it as crutch.

But yes, you're certainly right. Weed in very small medicinal doses can lend to spiritual enlightenment. The only problem is that that is incredibly different from being a "stoner".

Thanks man. Going on 10 days this time.

Last time I quit I started for a special occasion again, and then was good, but then started drinking every day again.

I'm really hoping that the longer I quit that I can eventually be able to drink like a normal person. For example, say there's a concert. Perhaps I'll head on out and then have a few beers ONCE I'm inside the club and then leave it at that. None of this getting sloshed on the train on the way there hours before the show stuff.

I'm a borderline drug addict but you are just doing a red herring. I'm not the one assuming my experience is universal when it's obviously not

Just theoretically I think happiness is most easily achieved without recreational drugs.

It's a hard idea to argue.

I once was, but I've been becoming enlightened. I'm 31. There's gotta be a time when you just grow up.
