I gotta nother confession to make
https://cuentacanciones.com/wp-conte...8971478881.jpg The foregoing style of ultra profane storytelling, complete with dubious spelling/grammar and surrealistic pacing, is one of the things I love best on netpho I understand there's some kind of political thing going on in the political forum or something political like that but, gotdammit, IMO Poots is keeping the nasty alive on netpho and I think it's a beautiful thing |

Ok but, but, it's new to me and I would've missed a good giggle if it hadn't been painstakingly curated and copy/pasted here

I will
I think it's downtown, it near Plaza del Congreso, It's somewhere between mont serrat and balvanera Have you been there? Got any tips? I really want to know places that are not obvious turist spots since I've been there once, and I'm not having much luck finding those places on the internet |

I've managed to weasel my way into their world a few times, spending a total of about two years there. Honestly, the tourists have infiltrated a lot of the best spots and so you'll probably always have to contend with at least a handful of fellow visitors, but the following are pretty safe.
Empanadas: El Sanjuanino in Recoleta or La Guitarrita in Núñez, though the latter is well out of your way and there's probably no reason to head up there unless you manage to find tickets to a game at River Plate Stadium or want to visit the fairly skippable Barrio Chino in Belgrano. Parrilla: The pinnacle of Argentine culture is done justice at La Brigada in San Telmo, though this is definitely not a well-kept secret and you might run into a lost high school contact or two. That said, it's not so bad that the waiters speak English and every second table is an elderly American tour group taking pictures of the decor with iPads. Coffee: Smack bang in the middle of a touristic hotspot, the absolute best place to go is Coffee Town inside of the San Telmo markets. Other worthwhile options would be the Barrio Cafetero locations in Microcentro, near where you'll be staying, and LATTEnTE near Plaza Serrano in Palermo. Pizza: While the tourists flock to Los Inmortales, the traditional grease-fest on offer at one of the Banchero locations is where the locals go to take on inhuman quantities of cheese and oil. There's one on Corrientes near the Obelisco and another in La Boca. The best pizza I ever ate was at a bar across from the Recoleta cemetery, but I guess I'm going for a standard fare recommendation in this case. Burgers: Gourmet hamburgers are an emerging fad of the last couple of years, leading to the opening of some great places such as the Breaking Bad-themed Heisenburger in Palermo and the fairly convenient-to-you La Cresta in San Telmo. I realize that this is all tourism via the stomach, of course, and still a fairly incomplete list that's mostly built around the centre. What sort of things would you be keen to do aside from digesting tasty matter, though? |

Buzzard is trying to lull us into a false sense of trust so that when one of us mentions an upcoming trip to Mexico, that person will uncritically accept his advice to "drink all the water."

I despise ham, but I love jamón crudo.
Anglo-derived cultures have done about as well with cured slices of pig as they have with interpersonal warmth. |

unfortunately I just don't really like ham, it doesn't matter how good it is. it's my least favorite major meat designation to begin with. and in the last five years or so I have become more averse to it because pigs are smart and I don't want us to kill them

I like bacon and sausage sometimes but I don't really like pork chops. My mom used to make honey glazed ham when I was a kid and it was pretty delicious all covered in caramelized shit. But I feel like beef just tastes better. And pigs are as smart as dogs and as emotionally intelligent as a small child.

All those are delicious to me.
Also ham is indispensable in a sandwich, imo |
