Funnily enough I thought of this thread today. Was riding the bus home from class when some college kids in the back started talking about someone they knew who was planning to have thanksgiving at Buffalo Wild Wings referring to it as "trashy as fuck".

I think it's already been talked about somewhere in this thread. But my problem with Olive Garden is it's on the same level of Burger King, but people dress up and shit for it

The Blazin' sauce at Buffalo Wild Wings is awesome. Looked it up on Amazon and it's 13 bucks before shipping for one bottle.

Funk that.

nahhh man. Olive Garden is at least "real" food. I actually don't mind eating there. It's kind of like a Dennys type of place as far as the good goes.

I want to go back to Olive Garden cause i haven't been in 13 years and i didn't mind the experience i had of it. I want to see if i used to be insane or if they got worse or if people make it out to be worse than it is.

the problem is........i cant find anyone that wants to go to Olive Garden and i imagine going there alone would be the most depressing thing one could do.

value for money

http://myfox8.com/2014/11/03/burling...r-seven-weeks/

Quote:
BURLINGTON, N.C. — A North Carolina man has used his “Never Ending Pasta Pass” from Olive Garden to eat 95 meals over the last six weeks.

Alan Martin bought the pass for $100 and says he has received $1,510 worth of food so far.

His goal is to continue eating Olive Garden every day, twice a day, until the pass expires on Nov. 9.

“I would love to be the person that ate the most of the 1,000 people. That would be a good contest to win,” said Martin. “Because that means I got the most value out of the card of anyone in the United States.”

The pasta pass is valid for all the pasta, salad, bread and Coca-Cola drinks a person can consume during the seven week period.

The pass was only made available to 1,000 people.

I have to say 100$ for six weeks if you eat there twice a day is really good. I try to not spend more than 150$ a month on food. That's 5$ a day. 100$ for six weeks beat that by a lot. It would be good for a poor person like me. Of course by eating at olive garden twice a day, you'd get super fat in no time.

On the other hand, if someone decided to just eat pasta at home for six weeks, they'd probably spend less than this. A plate of pasta with basic sauce doesn't cost more than 1$. Twice a day that would come to about 84$ for 6 weeks. But then...you don't get the quality experience of going to Olive Garden.

one man's trash another man's treasure, etc. i guess. i'd happily eat a plate of hot & asian zing over a by-the-numbers bland turkey w lima beans or whatever the fuck anyday, but than again you get what you can with these "college cunts"

I think it would be hard to do. If you figure that the guy in this example was eating pasta twice a day and he ate 5-6 oz per meal, and he also ate salad and drank a coke you'd have to account for all that, plus salad dressing, pasta sauce, cheese, etc.

Pasta ($1/lb), 5oz per serving = $26.25
Coke ($4/12pk can), 2 cans per day = $25.20
Salad ($3/bag..4 servings per bag) =$63
Salad Dressing (2x28oz bottles of Kraft $3/bottle) = $6
Pasta Sauce ($1.50 for 24oz Ragu, 4 servings/bottle) = $15.75

That's $134.95 without adding cheese or a choice of sauces.

so everything is included then not just pasta? I wondered if they meant it literally. I thought mybe ti was like, you had to order pasta specifically and anything else you'd have to pay for.

It would be great if it would have been so literal that even sauce wouldnt have been included...."here's your plain pasta sir"

quick question for those who hate OG. Would you describe yourselves as "foodies"?

Here's a good way to test if someone is a foodie... ask someone how they feel about iceberg vs roman. If they pick roman and THEN go on about how iceberg is awful and like heresy and shouldn't even be used for salad or something of the sort, they're a foodie. If they pick roman but say they're ok with iceberg or just actually pick iceberg. Not a foodie

It's not very scientific i know but whatevs.... Asking them is not an option because though a lot fit the profile, most would claim not to be. It's like hipsters that way.
