there are a lot of problems i have with the war on drugs. for one they could legalize it and tax the hell out of it. this could pay for roads, schools ect. another thing is were incarcerating non violent offenders. these are points nobody has brought up before. also there are some therapeutic effects to marijauna.. it can help with arthristis and stacey posted something about jamacain babies one time. that is why i vote libertarian

"Beautiful" is the adjective here, aye? I know I've heard a few songs on Sirius XMU, but only know that from the radio display. What's good?

Man it took me a few spins but I'd agree Lost In the Dream is one of the best releases from last year. It's like they (he, I guess) honed everything that was good about the previous records and distilled it into pure audio magic. There's a lot of restraint compared with Slave Ambient. The lyrics are about 98% top-shelf. And the textures are seemingly infinite.

Highly recommended to anyone that likes trippy rock and roll and doesn't hate Bob Dylan's voice.

All those references are undeniably valid (I even thought for an instant they were playing war on drugs in the store after spinning it in my car before realizing it was "boys of summer") but I think especially the latest record transcends em.

If you like to trip out on guitars and synthesizers and delight in unorthodox song structures and if you like drone and ambient experimental music, I don't see what's not to love.

this sounds like don henley and mark knopfler made a super group twenty years ago and put out an album. i'd never heard of war on drugs before, apparently i live under a rock.

well, newfoundland is referred to as 'the rock.' i guess i kind of live under that, too.

trots, i think our musical tastes are often fairly aligned, but i'm not digging this at all.
