i think its pretty clear our current set of admins is, by and large, a group of ineffective absentees, nimrod excluded.

its not about pakula really. he's the owner, and has delegated. he's more of a figurehead who weighs in on american culture and consumerism from time to time. he also strategically places amazon links here and there (which are actually pretty effective, i came across the one in the AD season 3 thread and it made buying itso easy, i could hardly stop myself). currently, all the duties are being carried out by nimrod, and his supporting cast is worthless.

yeah i agree. i think it's time to change gears and make some current regulars -- who are competent -- admins

i just woudln't want it. i like being a regular poster. in ever single solitary case that i have ever paid the slightest attention to, anyone elevated to mod or above acts differently. some very much so, some more subtly.

and the position also requires the person in it to rise above personal opinions and be impartial and level-headed, which is not something i'd count among my strengths. i think the only advantage i'd bring would be that i'd have a very light touch and not take any actions unless there was constant malicious nsfw spamming or something similar.

but it's not something i have any interest in.
