If you have a limit on what you are going to spend, why does it matter?

Am I the only one who remembers that? It sold for an arm and a leg, though.

Agreed. Better to find out now that you don't have enough money to buy it than to get your hopes up.

The Price-to-Quality ratio on this sale is going to be through the roof.

i think it is absurd that anyone would pay this much money without being able to verify that it is authentic.

FROM SPFC:

In fact, the only text which appears anywhere is ch5/the story of june (so far) - there are no credits, tracklists, or any other notes printed anywhere on the release.

25 (twenty-five) copies on hand-cut, hand-numbered, non-lacquered acetate
The 3 10"s come in plain white sleeves, the 2LP comes in a plain black sleeve with paper pasted to the inside, including "ch5/the story of june (so far)". The discs are labeled with small stickers bearing CR 01 thru CR 04 (CR 04 is the 2LP, w/ sides A-D). Each outer sleeve is completely wrapped in clear, wide packing tape with various repeating printed designs.

What I'd like to see are pictures that we don't have yet - for instance high quality scans of the packing tape, of the hand written numbers, and of the discs themselves. I would also guess that a pic of the number might go a long way to deciding if it is real - for instance if they claim the number is "21" and someone else can verify that they have that number, we'll know it is a fake.

And, once again, this person needs to say more about how and why they have this. Who are they?

For those of you bidding - good luck - at least it looks like a full refund is possible if it turns out to be less than genuine.

If your max is the higest, then you're going to give people 6 days to decide whether to outbid you or not. If you wait til the last 5 seconds nobody can react. Ninja style!

I've only lost one time by sniping and that was when I put a really low max cause I didn't really want the item.

Hey guys, you could consider pooling your cash together.

I think someone may have hijacked his screen name. He posted here a couple days ago as an Amish Rake Fighter and sounded halfway intelligent, so I'm sure it wasn't him.

Anyone whose is bidding who knows they won't be able to win it is just driving the price up. Don't be a dick sir.

Question

Are you guys who are bidding making any attempt to contact the seller and find out how he got it?

By bidding early, those with the funds are able to eliminate many potential bidders. If you're really willing to shell out a couple thousand for this, then bidding early is a good strategy.

Ex. 5 minutes left, price at $1,000....
A, B, C, D, and E are all trying to bid at the last minute. Someone ends up winning it for $1,025

Ex. 5 minutes left, A and B have already driven the price up to $2,500...
C, D, and E don't have enough to bid anymore. By driving up the price early, A and B have eliminated them, thus increasing their chances of winning it.

You should ask him what number out of 25 it is.

Futureboy already did that without having netphoria tell him to.

The seller has yet to respond.

If I'm reading that correctly, it doesn't work that way. It just looks at everyone's max and then picks the highest one.

No, you should ask him what number out of 24 it is. See, then it will be easier to see if he's lying.

Good idea, once a guy ripped me off and I helped him by giving him too much info which he used against me.

What you could do is go over there and offer him some huge amount of cash to give it to you and cancel the auction.
