Question Which active band right now has the best consistently good/great discography?

Minimum 5 albums and this takes in consideration every album released for that band.

I'm thinking off the top of my head it has to be Radiohead.

Pablo Honey
The Bends
OK Computer
Kid A
Amnesiac
Hail to the Thief
In Rainbows
The King of Limbs

Not a bad album among the bunch, Pablo Honey gets a lot of hate because it is no where near the rest of the catalog but it isn't at all a bad album.

The Roots and Built to Spill have also had consistently good/great albums but not to the level of Radiohead. You could also easily name individual artists like Kanye but I'm thinking primarily of just bands.

Not really. Someone can post one of their all time favorites and it can be picked apart by albums that aren't widely seen as good.

Raveonettes are really solid but they've also made a few missteps.

Rising Down and Tipping Point were both pretty mediocre.

TV On The Radio sitting on 4 albums has a chance to be mentioned if their next album is really good. Yeah Yeah Yeahs have taken themselves out of the possibility of being in the discussion with their recent album. It'll be interesting to see if Arcade Fire will still be putting out really good albums by the time they release 5. 3 albums in and they won that Grammy and achieved mass commercial success so that could end up effecting the quality of their future music for the worse.

All of the RHCP albums are good-great with the exception of their last one.

Pearl Jam is another but I'm not too wild about all of their albums. Best band to see live out there by far though.

The last Chili Peppers album was good. The new guy has a different approach to playing than Frusciante so people were turned off by him.Josh Klinghoffer has a more atmospheric textured approach to guitar. Everything else is business as usual. Anthony is on point with his vocals. Flea is on point with his playing. The last album has some of the best playing I've ever heard from Flea. And Anthony has actually somewhat matured and developed as a lyricist.

Yay! Bardo Pond!

All their records seem to blur together as one though, I don't think they've really progressed. They're all great, but I don't idk...

I like the last album, just haven't listened to it in awhile. The RHCP are right up there with Radiohead then.
