i hope you will accept my invitation to post a weezer song you are digging lately. here is mine!

i don't listen to them often, wasn't aware of this album or the white album, like several songs from each of them.

I really enjoyed EWBAITE. Great comeback after a decade of crap. Plus, the creature on the cover looks like my dog. The White Album was just as good.

Favorite from EWBAITE:

Really hit me hard a few months after the album came out when I learned that my dad had passed away. He was estranged from his family and the last time I had seen or spoken to him was 1994. He died of a heart-attack, alone, unloved, unresolved. They couldn't even determine the date of his death because some time had passed before he was found. I will forever feel guilty for writing him off and never trying to reach out to him, even if he was an abusive and very troubled person.

I really love the whole build-up and release at the end of the song where Rivers' triumphantly proclaims the album's title repeatedly. Really cathartic. The first time I can recall "feeling" his performance since Pinkerton.

And then, on a less serious note, favorite from The White Album:

This song is as close to "classic" Weezer as we'll ever get. Pure perfection, stupid song title be damned.
