What's your source on that? No way Billy would dump Ruby after the insane amount of production put into it

I was referring to this:

"Another remnant of a distant Siamese Dream past, 'Set the Ray to Jerry' was first written somewhere during the Gish tour. It's always been a band favorite, and seemingly only the band's, because no one ever mentions it. A sweet, simple song featuring only bass, drums, and some delayed James guitar. One night Flood and I put everything we had on a couple of tapes (about 40 songs) and just drove around Chicago until 3:30 in the morning deciding what was on or off the album. When we listened to 'Set the Ray,' it really moved me, but when I looked over to Flood he just shook his head no. That was the end of 'Set the Ray' on the album, because I trust Flood's opinion so much."

i'm comfortable with where each song is. mcis wouldn't be what it is without beautiful. i think its presence is essential in those last few tracks

he should've included all the songs, released them one at a time, leading up to an album/boxed set

yeah, it would have almost definitely been before all of that, but i know i'm pretty damn sure i read somewhere years ago that there was a point where the rest of the band had to persuade him to keep it in the initial run of album tracks when he was leaning toward Set the Ray instead - no fuckin' clue where this article or interview was hosted by this point but i'm trying to find it again

FWIW I also remember reading the same thing at some point but I can't remember where it was said either. The closest thing I could find was this interview but I'm almost postive Ruby was mentioned in another article.

Also, later in the article he states Ugly was on the album right up until they reduced it from 31 to 28 songs. Anyone have any idea what the other last minute cuts were?

its a fucking banger.

i dont get how thats comfortably better than anything post msots without trying.

i just caught up with what sp has been up to

songs that arent total shit

silvery something - its a 7/10 which is probably the best ive heard since
tiberius - 6/10 why is his voice so high in the mix and the ending is bland
being beige - LOL what a title 6/10 chorus is kind of catchy
glissandra - sounds like a machina out take 7/10 for the first 3 mins
pale whores?
