Depeche Mode - Enjoy the Silence... A song about what?
All I ever wanted
All I ever needed Is here in my arms Not only is this probably the finest song of the 80ies, but it might also be one of the greatest hymns ever sung about forbidden pleasure, or in other words, homosexuality. Like so many supposed "love songs" this one isn't about a man, a boy or any human love interest but about yourself and the drug you injected into your veins while looking above the world. Only yourself and realizing that no words are necessary. Oh so romantic! Pleasures remain! |

Wasn't 'Never Let Me Down Again' also about being into guys?
I'm taking a ride with my best friend I hope he never let's me down again And come to think of it: 'Never again is what you swore the time before' (Policy of Truth) might as well be guy-related. |

I thought it was about silence.
These complex lyrics are over my head. |
