probably the best thing i've heard from them soundwise since 1995. it's quite obvious that he's reusing a bunch of tricks from that time. i'd rather have this retread than some failed experiment any time, even though the best thing would to actually make something new that didn't suck at all. entertaining stuff though, lot's of different little parts that doesn't sound too out of place.

Brilliant. I love it. SP are back. The lyrics are still fucking lame though and his voice isn't brilliant.

If that is our problem with the single, then I think we are in decent shape. |

It was not awful. Not even a little. The clip is a huge misrepresentation of the song.
I'm actually really suprised by how good this is. |

haha that is some funny fucking shit right there. CORGAN PLAYS A NOVELTY SOLO. it's retarded. other than that its a mixed bag. lead vocals are sing songy and suck. drums are monstrous yet fairly boring. no cash car awesomeness, just 80s metal gallop beat. the riff sounds a lot like if iron maiden played zero bakwards. the siamese dreamesque breakdown is good but way too short. the worst part is definitely the bullshit soloing. definitely too much crammed into one song. usually corgans singles are so focused! oh well. it's not anywhere near pumpkins level from an emotional or musical standpoint but it does kick a lot of ass in a short period of time. verdict: not good but definitely worth the wait. this is the most fun ive ever had with a new single. its fucking hilariously awesome. all i can say is billy has been practicing guitar hero.

Fucking kickass. All doubts are gone.
Can't wait to hear a proper quality version, you can tell the compression of this stream really destroys so many layers of guitar/production |

I really liked the triplet feel over the 4/4 time sig. Really hard-driving. The quiet bridge section, although short, gave me the "OMG Pumpkins are back" chills. The guitar is unfashionably rockin and bluesy, which is really exciting.

didn't really know what to think on the first listen. on the second, it kind of sounded like what little MCR i've been able to stomache. after the third, fourth, and so on i don't really think that anymore and i'm really starting to like it. although i will agree that it sounds like a lot of stuff got crammed into this one song.
but hellllllllllllooooooooo sweet guitar solos. |

Trying to be objective, parts of it are great (the intro and the last minute) and the SP guitar and drum have been sorely missed. But man do Billy's vocals sound thin. It sounds like he is still trying to do that bluesy thing. Overall, much better than the 30 second clip indicated.

Some dude posted twice saying he had the promo single and wanted to know if anyone wanted a high quality rip... mods keep deleting it... so I guess they only want the broadcast rip on the forums.
