"If you could play with any music artist living or dead, who would it be?"

So Jimmy would love to play with Thelonious Monk...that's pretty cool.

A friend of Jimmy's is saying he is "retired" and that he's had enough of the music industry. He's working on editing a movie.

I don't believe it.

Interview from 2005 >>>

Quote:
Jam master Jimmy had such a great time recording the album and working with his new cohorts that he hopes to return to the studio as soon as possible to make a sequel to Life. He said that he never intends on retiring from the music biz.

"I don’t really envy people who look forward to retirement because that means they’re doing something they don’t like." Chamberlin picked up the sticks at a young age and immediately felt liberated.

"I retired at age 8," he said.

I swear, restarting the pumpkins was the worst career moves that both jimmy and billy made.

Pizza club, what's your source and what else have you heard? How'd he say he heard this?

He's recording / just recorded a new record with a jazz saxophonist Frank Catalano and bassist Percy Jones - I don't think he's done quite yet...

Literally a friend of a friend. My guitar instructor is friends with one of Jimmy's friends from Joliet. They went to high school together.

Editing a movie? What the fuck does Jimmy know about editing a movie? I don't buy it. I get that his family is his focus, and I don't expect him to join a big band again, but drums are his life and he'll find projects here and there to work on.

Everything jimmy says is excellent. Billy is always so full of shit trying to create his own little version of reality. "Oceania is psychedelic. Mike Byrne is awesome. 44 free songs" blah blah blah

I definitely maintain that Jimmy is a world class act. I hope he tours or Does some more clinics. Hopefully he and his drums will some day make it north of the 49th parallel

So...is there something complex about "untitled" that is progressive? It never sounded all that great to me... anyway, jimmy always is nice to listen to.

Jimmy is an absolute hero. Shame it's unlikely the JCC will come to the UK.

Untitled is definitely one the most underrated Pumpkins songs. If Billy could write an album like that, as he claims he could, he'd do alright.

Bullshit, if he made an album like that, y'all would bitch and complain about it not being heavy enough. Because he made his return to form, Netphoria is just full of dumbasses.

Oceania was a return to acceptable production, the songs were some of the worst form he's been in.

I only ever listened to SP2 & 3 because it was Corgan. No-one listened because of the songs. After Zwan his songwriting has been on a nosedive.

Unless you bury your head from listening to any other contemporary music I don't understand how anyone could rate it highly or enjoy it.

Well...that is probably gonna take a while >>>

probably 8 years."
