Default Holy shit The Melvins

Just downloaded Bullhead and listening to them for the first time. Killer riffs.

Move over Black Sabbath.

I'm sure I will. I downloaded Lysol, Houdini, and Stoner Witch to check out.

Can't wait.

Talking

Is that Big Baby in your avatar?

He's channeling some serious latter day Shawm Kemp, isn't he?

The funniest thing: about a month ago, I think, I saw Big Baby go up for a dunk on a fastbreak. He didn't get quite high enough, and was embarrassingly rejected by the rim. Half of the Celtics bench was in stitches.

Coolest thing I've seen in the NBA this season, besides Blake Griffin's dunks and a Wade to James fullcourt alleyoop.

Haha yes that is Big Baby. He's so fucking goofy. I love watching his face whenever he gets fouled.

Poor guy, everyone makes fun of him. You know, if he'd slim down a bit I think he'd actually be pretty good. He has some decent offensive moves, and he hustles.

They are so cool to watch live. I saw them in 2008. They were singing the Star Spangled Banner and kids were stagediving during it so they stopped playing. Buzzo got really pissed off and started rambling. Then they started the song over and then went right into "Boris" afterwards. It was pretty great.

sigh. i haven't been to a concert since Radiohead in 2004. i got tickets for sleep last summer, but got a little too high (ironic, no?)

boris (the song) is so fucking heavy. i say this all the time when i discover a new band, but i can't believe i've missed out on these guys for so long.

Yeah I know what you mean. When I mentioned seeing Boris, it was in 2008 as well, a month before I saw Melvins. I go to some shows here and there, but nothing really as "big" as those since.

Great band. Awesome riffs. "Boris" is very heavy indeed. I think my favorite song of theirs is "Honey Bucket." Cliche? Perhaps. But that song fucking rules.

Houdini is next on my list, so I'll have a chance to check that song out.

No good bands will be coming to the Gobi Desert any time soon.

Every time I listen to Holy Mountain or Dopesmoker I want to kill myself. They better do another tour, and play Dopesmoker in its entirety. I think that's the only thing that could erase my regret.

Very strange band. It's as if Sabbath had a child with the Pixies.
