Exclamation Beast Boys album Licensed to Ill

I don't know why it's taken until tonight for me to finally get and listen to this album but god damn, it is good. 80's were pretty damn shitty for music but this is really good.

if i could only listen to one decade of music, it would be the 80's. if i had to choose five years, it would be 1979-84.

we're all in agreement that the late 90s and early "Aughts" were the biggest bullshit period for music right

1980 was an amazing year for music. Lots of great new wave / post-punk stuff. The only other years that come even close for rock music would be 1967 and 1991.

1980: Remain In Light, Crocodiles, Closer, Boy, I Just Can't Stop It, Seventeen Seconds, Gentlemen Take Polaroids, Zenyatta Mondatta

How much better would this thread have been if no one replied? It went for a day w no replies and I chuckled at the thought that maybe Banana would think he was on ignore.

Well fuck this is depressing news. Right when I was really starting to get into them and appreciate their music. At least I got to see him and the other Beastie Boys perform at Bonnaroo a few years ago.

I'm not at all a fan of their material from the 80s. But I like most of their singles from the 90s especially So What'cha Want, Sure Shot, and Intergalactic.
