the apple help file does nothing. still says its corrupt.
oh, also, i installed rockbox on it on sunday night. it worked perfectly for about 4 days and then it started having trouble reading my flac files. so i plugged it into the computer and it started pulling this shit. |

Hmm...I've never had a problem like that with Rockbox. That's odd. Are you booted into Rockbox when you plug it in or the original firmware? Because if you're loading iTunes with it in Rockbox, that might be the problem, lol.
Mine's named "Milstead". Creative, right? |

I suspect Rockbox is part of the problem maybe. don't you have to change the filesystem of the ipod to install this? that would sort of match up with the disk error thing that was suggested earlier in the thread.
please correct me if i'm wrong. |

the filesystem was fat32 to begin with and rockbox installed just fine on it and operated as expected until it started acting up a few days later.

with rockbox, you boot it and pluging and i interpreted by your computer as just being a regular ol' hard drive (as it normally is). regardless, ituneshelper.exe kept recognizing it as an apple ipod and opening up itunes.
it seems like hardware issue. but i really just want to get rockbox off of t before i attempt to take advantage of the warranty. |
