superficially yes (he was born out of the kung fu craze). He has more character depth though (than say Lee in Enter the Dragon) and can focus his chi to superhuman levels to beat powered villains. Also lately in the comics he can clone himself a bunch which is neat (I guess to replace jamie madrox the multiple man who they fukin murdered)

when i last left him, jamie had the legacy virus for no reason and was very depressing while three of his clones developed individual personalities. i think i got up to the point after he died and the other clones are fighting but i forget where it goes with it mostly depressing i'm sure fucking 90s xbooks

it isn't just that Iron Fist is a lousy dated racist character. The show was badly written. Casting was bad. Flat, uninspired acting by most of the cast.

yeah I'm only reading old ones. I tried reading the "x-men prime" thing that just came out that reboots the x-men line and it was shit, even with Kitty as the main character.

I think they totally jumped the shark when they brought the 5 original teen x-men into the future, not just as a gimmick storyline but permanently.

also they've been ruining Cyclops for years.

And they just made Emma evil again after 2 decades of reforming her character.

Kirkman's Invincible is the only current series I'm reading, it's some heavy shit

I hate how all of the good shows only have 10 episodes per season these days. I get all stoked for a new season of a show and it feels like it's over before it even began.

I get the benefits of putting in more production time to ensure the quality of a series, but they should at least bump it up to like 13-15 like they did with The Sopranos.

Finished watching the Iron Fist netflix show.
What a useless show. Not even good at setting up things for the Defenders.

Colleen was cool though. I also liked the actor who plays Ward, he should be in more things.

Fucking yes. I'm counting the days. I remember being spooked by bits and pieces of it as a kid but didn't remember much about the plot. Picked up the whole series, and had a nice rewarding run through.

From the few bits and pieces of info that have come out, it's definitely going to be batshit insane.
