If you like those probably start with The Dust of Retreat for mellow or Rot Gut, Domestic for more 'rock' although it's not heavy by any means

Also i will try ALCEST and BORIS

Think i already tried em but too many alcoholic blackouts and strong microhits has made it a haze. Like that album pink? It was in my trunk of my car for some reason one morning. Think i heard it a few times before it disappeared again, to wherver that sad humble copy of pink by Boris went to, next

Here are some bandcamp purchases that are probably on spotify. Some local or rare stuff is probably bc only. One of my favorite albums of the year in Midwife - Forever. Since it's summer time pandemic season you may also want to check out the Purple Mountains album released July 12, 2019.

Never did much mastodon. Good but never captured me. Now giving it a chance ... feels pretty fun. Could use as background to a good set of kegel taints. Ooooh now here’s another with verb on a clean vocal. Could allllllllmost host a makeout party to this? A lot would depend on the lighting. Candles? Or high beam flourescent overheads cause HERE COMES THEM DRUMS MOFOKER

Or i could definitely wash the dishes to this

Ok, also, thanks for the other ones i will do them next, maybe

Yeah i did check out baroness once upon a time

Dunno what my problem is, but it’s hard for me to get invested in some of these riff rock bands these days. Part of it is that the riffs are rarely memorable or bizarre enough to tickle my parts. It’s fun to boogie along but the individual songs fail to make an impact, or something

Contrast with that pile record about the hairshirts — now that’s the kinda riffing that gets me coming back for more. Strange emotions and colors in the guitars is what im after. Less into the “epic” or “sick” riff these days. Rather hear something that startles or provokes me. Like a riff that missed its last 6 therapy appointments and has gone off meds, is calling you from a strange town, needs a ride to the airport, etc.

lol I've said it before and I'll keep saying it, but you need to start a music blog. I love the way you write/describe this stuff.

Another good way of finding new stuff is listening to the radio playlists based on artists you like, it's usually a good mix of that artist's songs and similar sounding stuffs.

In my humble imho
