Rumours about the Special Edition incl. the DVD

I just got a mail from the website (jpc.de) where I ordered the German Zeitgeist Special Edition with the DVD and they wrote me that they received the CDs today but without a DVD.
After they contacted Warner Germany they found out that there won`t be a release with a special DVD.

They offered me to cancel my order.
This sounds pretty official cause they contacted Warner about it.

A couple of days ago, amazon.de postponed the release date of the Special Edition DVD for one week, changed it to the original date again one day later and now the DVD is off?

By the way, amazon Germany is listing the Special Edition as (CD + booklet) now while the price stays the same.
Warner confirmed the 72-page booklet for the German special edition and definitely no DVD for us.
That`s so ridiculous...

yeah, in my shopping cart it still says cd + dvd, but if i click on the link there it just says cd + booklet...ah well, it was to good to be true...

Of course you're right, but we don't even get the special edition here in AU, only the standard. It's just the way you worded it that made me think "ungrateful twat"... like all the people who keep whining that SP didn't play a three month residency in chicago to kick off the european festival tour.

Ok you`re right. when I read it again I noticed that "us" sounded like I was talking about "us Germans" but I meant all people waiting for it.

There probably never was a DVD. I bet some douchebag at the record company just interpreted the special edition to have a DVD, like most other albums' special editions...

Yeah, never thought about that. If this is the case, someone is in really big trouble now being responsible for a lot of cancellation and changing of orders...

But do you really think that Warner sends out information to all stores and mentions a DVD release on their website without checking with the management first? Still, sounds possible that someone at Warner Germany just got something wrong cause it makes no sense that only the German version has a DVD.
This is probably a big joke. In the end, everyone owns 5 copies of the regular red cover

exactly. this was never a germany only release. i believe all warner releases for europe are printed in germany anyway.

i ordered from the us and germany (i'm in the uk). i tried to cancel one of them, but apparently they're "preparing the item for shipping" so i can't cancel. awesome. two copies of the purple booklet edition... and a yellow one.

from the beginning i was thinking this different-release-huggamajog was too complicated. the threads about it were also a big mess, in my opinion. so i ordered nothing and decided to wait until everything was released to see what different releases were actually out there.

i end up with nothing yet.
