Now that Eastbound & Down has concluded as a series, where do you place it all time?
**spoilers** - wouldn't fit in the title - **spoilers** Just finished watching the final episode. And it was amazing. It was so out of nowhere and didn't hold back at all and had proven itself to be the greatest finale ever to a series...up until they brought Kenny Powers back from the dead. Although the series' final joke was great when April pointed out that he could have just moved her and the kid with him to Texas. Then you see on his face that he realizes she's right, but he's like "Nah this was the only way". But still ending the series when the camera was finishing panning past April and Toby while finished narrating the final lines of his audio book would have made it the greatest series finale I've ever seen. It still might be though, so I'm not sure. Still though amazing series. Final season was probably the most bizarre season I've ever seen from a show. It held nothing back. Stevie over the course of the series became the weirdest and funniest tv character in the history of tv. I don't think there will ever be a show like it again. |

finished watching the series. the last episode was ridiculous. too many writers in the room so they used every idea.

i can't quite put my finger on that show.
i watch it because i remember it as a funny show but when it's on i'm just shocked and outraged at a lot of the behavior. it happens every time. |

thanks. there was a reference in the 2nd or 3rd episode about how they (the writers) had fought about which direction the show should take - either emphasizing the depressing self-help stuff, going on crazy adventures, or one other thing.
then the show has three endings. |

personally i think it could have faded out after the "end of the book" voiceover and left the rest to the viewers imagination (how postmodern) but i'm sure there were some fogeys that insisted the audience be spoonfed an ending.
lol @ the hairdye. |
