Well, I think when it comes to the younger generation, they are a bit more progressive, liberal, left leaning. Billy is not this at all. He won't have that for him when trying to connect with the kiddies. He knows if he opens his mouth and starts spouting his politics, he will lose that younger audience while also dividing his older audience he does have left. Even if he keeps quiet, I still don't see Billy ever connecting with the youth, especially if he continues with his Elegy lyrical ways as these lyrics really have nothing meaningful to say. The lyrics are intentionally vague thus providing no connection to a kid listening to it. Perhaps if the music was better, Billy could get away with vague lyrics, but later SP is quite bland musically and having vague, pointless, repetitive lyrics won't do much to hide the uninspired music behind them.

Blackballing? I think Billy has done all he can to blackball himself.

tbh this was a pretty good topic, and I agree that it probably is the case that he's been blackballed to an extent. He could get away with the arrogance and shit talking in the 90's when it couldn't be replayed on YouTube or read in articles ad infinitum, but that kind of stuff has a far reach now and lingers on. His appearance on Alex Jones and subtle seemingly pro-Trump comments probably have not helped either.

You should watch the first video he did with Alex Jones in 2012. Watching it today it's prolific how many of his predictions have come true. Billy predicted that a new political philosophy would come forward and that the left have become the old right and that they'd be pushing for internet censorship. I must've missed the interview at the time, but it's crazy how he outright kicked the establishment in the teeth.



If you watched this, you could easily think he was giving cultural analysis today. Corgan may be waning in his artistic ability, but he's a bright guy and his finger on the pulse of the culture.

And really, you're argument for Madonna is that she has lots of hits? She's a talentless hack... Can't sing worth shit, never writes her own material.
