I saw them in 2004, I think. In Seattle.

MSTOS slayed. Billy played a red flying v. That last riff is one of the best things Bellies ever written.

I was thinking the same thing but after purposefully hearing very little studio material since Machina II (love it) I am still excited for In Painsong 2016 and the album that follows. The 2007 show and In Plainsong last June were both great. Missed the 2012 show.

I can't believe they're playing Little Rock. They haven't played here since 1996. I guess Billy realized Arkansas still exists last month when he was doing his America documentary and drove through here.

I already bought tickets for the Nashville show because I thought that it was more or less as close as they were going to get to me. But I guess I'll be seeing them twice on this tour now.

you aren't sure what the point is of:

- playing songs from all eras - Zwan and solo included
- in good sounding venues for a smaller audience without a pompous stage setup or costumes
- while doing a bunch of these songs acoustic - which suits his voice and age
- while the other bunch is with JC?

you aren't sure about the point of playing concerts people actually want to hear?

The world needs a Billy acoustic tour like it needs another prank Vine. What I want is for him to actually finish something he's been promising for years: Machina reissue, Zwan reissue, his book.

Tours make him more money than doing reissues, and it's probably more fun for him

So he's gonna tour rather than put stuff out

And if he's gonna tour, I'd rather it be acoustic, so his voice sounds less shitty, his shitty new nasal distortion doesn't get used, and it allows for more diverse songs to be played instead of rat in a cage, given that it attracts a more hardcore audience

I thought about doing Little Rock but it looks like my choices are pay $325 for the artist presale (first few rows and VIP) or register with ticketmaster to get a code for the $75 seats a couple rows back. Really don't give a shit about 3 "private" songs and Q+A (and definitely not gonna pay fucking over $300 for that). Would maybe go for the $75 but don't know ticketmasters code and don't wanna get involved with them to get it.

So I guess fuck it

Going to Toronto but I got stuck behind a post on ground floor. Anyone ever had one of those "obstructed viewing" seats at Massey Hall? Judging from floor pics it doesn't seem so bad.

it really depends... i saw ornette coleman there with an obstructed view and it was HORRIBLE. You think at first 'eh, not so bad' but because of the angle i was on i basically had to sit in the most awkward and uncomfortable position you can imagine.

The good news is that it wasn't sold out so i just moved over a couple spots and problem solved. HOWEVER, you can't always do that lol

I promised myself i wouldn't settle for obstructed seats again. There's likely a spectrum from "worst possible obstructed seat" to "best possible obstructed seat" and i was closer to the "Worst possible" end of the obstructed view spectrum lol

I always thought these obstructed views were a myth. Why would they sell a seat behind a column? Money baffles me.

Wait you actually want his book?

The one that's as long as War and Peace and will be written in his insane babbling incomprehensible style?

You have to be trolling right?

Right? I miss the good ole days when you actually had to call Ticket Master on the phone and be put on hold for 2 hours so you could get nose bleed seats. Or find a Ticket Master kiosk in some strange location like in the middle of K-Mart and have to wait in line with 150 other people and be given a lottery ticket drawing and end up getting the last number even though you were first in line. Kids these days have it so hard with that internet shit.

Actually I was talking about a presale code with no indication on the website of how to get it. Not as simple as clickity click dot com.

Great job sounding like assholes, though

Also we're not talking about Michael Jackson here. This is bill corgan in 2016. How hard can anyone be expected to work for decent seats?

Or camp out like I did for NIN tickets in '94. In a way it was better though because the guys who ran the line at MSG new who the real fans were and who all that scalpers were. When they were giving out wrist bands for NIN I noticed the guy was really careful to make sure I got a blue band and everyone else around me got green. When they let us in all blue wrist bands got to the front of the line so I was 8th in line. I noticed everyone in the front of the line were all people wearing NIN t-shirts.

Then a few years later someone got pissed off they they were first in line for the Spice Girls and they couldn't get front row. This was of course because of the Spice Girls holding tickets and selling tickets on the scalpers market, but MSG took the blame and senators got involved so MSG just said fuck it no more opening day box office sales.

And forget about if you wanted tickets to shows that weren't local.
