If only I had known that discussing ownership patterns of motor vehicles in a country I lived in for a couple of years would trigger Bonnie's insecurities, I might not have said anything at all.

buzz is a feckin enigma. you will get zero info about his background, from him.
but his girlfriend is so, so beautiful. so he's obviously well practiced in the arts of hypnosis and psychological manipulation. there can be no other explanation because while he's no elephant man, he's definitely punching waaayyyy above his weight there. something is off. Watch your back. |

It's a long story but basically we worked out that we've paid $3-4k every year to have it serviced by a specialist European garage and to replace expensive French parts and when this latest part failed, and we found out that we were going to have to replace that at a cost of $2k + labour and also found out that having a towbar fitted was going to cost another $1.1k + labour, having already spent $1.8k on it this year for its annual service, it was just the final straw. We owned a Toyota in NZ for three years, and the only thing that needed replacing was a brake light bulb, which my husband bought and replaced himself. Total cost less than $20.
European cars in Australia are really only for the super rich, I think. Or the extremely image conscious. Every time I see one now, all I can think of are the maintenance costs. |

My kids saw a ferrari while we were stopped at some traffic lights today. M said "Mum! Quick! Can I have your phone so I can take a picture?". Nobody was there but I still felt embarrassed, like we were bogans or something.

The drive downtown is an experience unto itself. You're controlled by this dark energy that's about to take you to a place where you know you don't belong at this stage in your life. You get on the 101 freeway and it's night and it's cool outside. It's a pretty drive, and your heart is racing, your blood is flowing through your veins, and it's kind of dangerous, because the people dealing are cut-throat, and there are cops everywhere. It's not your neck of the woods anymore, now you're coming from a nice house in the hills, driving a convertible Camaro.

You can't buy it, you can't get it on a street corner, you can't steal it or inject it or shove it up your ass, you have to earn it.
