SP did an okay job with it, using various pedals. But oh boy, can you tell the difference! This version seems to lack any spirit, at the least because it is being played in a more choppy (in part because it's not awash in thick, sustained distortion) and plodding style than the original. SP always played it fast and nasty, which I think is the most fitting dynamic for the song.

Yes, when this band first made it to the airwaves they were often compared to a "Christianized" version of Tool. The wannabe semblance is more obvious on their early songs.

If Chevelle in its entirety didn't suck so bad, I'd feel sorry for those guys for having to play with such a shitty drummer.

Never realized how much their singer sounds like Maynard, but it is pretty uncanny.

I could swear they got the lyrics a bit wrong at the Jesus bit.

Lacks proper emotion, the vocals have a rather fake american emo sound (reminded me slightly of the singer from placebo). Billy may be a cock now but he used to sing with all his heart.
