to reiterate: do you find that any bottled herbs are worth buying as opposed to growing, because obviously you can't grow/use every single herb?

i can think of at least 10 herbs i use on a regular basis and couldn't imagine growing them all and using them before they go bad.

so what herbs do you feel its okay to compromise vs growing?

Yes I find that thyme keeps well, as well as bay leaves, dill, and oregano keep well. I use herbs de Provence often and a dried good mix is preferable to all of those fresh. I'd grow most others

I tried to like black locust blooms but they were too sweet and perfumed. Food shouldn't be perfume. They're in my compost bag.
