fuck you, it's 4 years later and i'm sick again

and again i had to cancel therapy after i already missed 2 weeks from therapist being on vacation

it's been getting worse over the last 24 but seems to have plateaued. i have 99.4 degree "fever." just took some ibuprofen, which i'd normally avoid cuz fever is a good thing, but my head hurts

seems like i'm moving from dripping stage to congestion and cough stage. already blowing out some mad neutrophils in my snot

i hardly get sick. i haven't had the flu since '05 or thereabouts. i had a headache last night, though. whenever i feel below the weather i always kick myself for not appreciating when i didn't feel so shitty.

i've only had the flu once or twice. this is def not the flu. people are sometimes like "oh i have a cold or flu" and i'm like bitch, if you had the flu you'd have 103 fever be freezing and feel like you are literally dying for 4 days

only someone who has never had the flu could mistake a head cold for flu.

flu is every inch of your body aches like you got beat with a pipe, your skin is painfully sensitive, you are shivering and sweating like a junky, and you certainly cannot get out of bed and go to work

i relearned that lesson well with my last flu. it was hardcore

i was destroyed in my bed for like 3 days, wearing two pairs of pants, three long sleeve shirts, two pairs of socks, and had two thick comforters over me. i was still cold

My last flu kicked in right as I was in the stands at a fucking Red-Hot Chili Peppers concert, I shit you not.

I just got really sick and had to sit down and then I started throwing up and my buddy was like "Dude!?! what's wrong with you?! You only had a few drinks and smoked a joint!" and I was like mannnn out of nowhere I just got fucking dizzy and sick. And the whole way home on the sky train I was trying to get water down and throwing it up and got a cab home with a few friends and smelt like death from accidentally puking on myself.

It was weird cause it hit like a ton of bricks without any lead-up. My buddy got it after and it hit him the same way.

Just brutal.

"Dude!!! It's fucking Scar Tissue!!! Stand up!!! "***vomits****

I've never had the flu then lol. My congestion issues are related to my tonsils and probably immune system. My ear problems are related to physiology. I suspect I have a great immune system.

I'm sorry you're feeling so bad, reprise. Not be annoying but have you tried any sudafed? The stuff wirh psuedoephendrine. Guafinesin? Just so you can breathe and don't need to rub your nose raw.

My immune system is fantastic, trust me. It's a great– I mean it's the best, everyone says so. It does amazing work, I've been receiving congratulatory calls.

I'm alright, it's not that bad. Thanks though. I'm not supposed to take pseudo, cuz of high blood pressure. Put it this way, I'm going to work today. I only got light sleep last night because of my symptoms but I feel alright. I sound worse than I am. I'd say on a scale of (1) for purely head cold and (10) for I'm dying with the flu, this is about a 4. I find that ibuprofen helps more than anything.

My immune system is definitely compromised to some degree, but it's much better than it used to be. I'm not having any breathing issues; for years, all of my colds inevitably turned into bronchitis with wheezing. No more. And because of my sinus/ear problems I had been taking antibiotics very often, but in haven't taken any in about 9 months.

I usually have 1 sick day per year. Commonly on the first week of winter.

this is now the "it's the beginning of of the year, of course i'm sick again" thread

sick again! just a cold. cancelled therapy yesterday. called out of work today. luckily i wasn't opening or i would have "had" to go in until they could replace me. so at fuckin 5:05 am i called in for my 7:45 shift, right after i knew the first manager would be there.

hit me like a ton of bricks sunday night. i worked all day no problem.

anyone else feel like complaining?

I used to prefer winter over summer. But as life advances I find myself enjoying the summer a lot more.
