Why would you say 1979? What possible reason could there be?

Because it's 1979. Seventy-nine. Seventies.

Billy was surprisingly chill while Jimmy hammered that kickdrum repeatedly.

Oh, and my guess is By Starlight.

I don't know how they can stand to play for hours on end without any hearing protection like that

im guessing you are talking about the riff at 1445 you could probably draw an arrow from this riff to something else that made it to a recording from that era, but for me I just put it in the "pumpkins dickin around" category. You know, something that could've ended up on pistachio medley.

You could take all the riffs that dude shat out and left behind and make a whole band with a full 7 album career out of them.

guys, he's talking about By Starlight. he's mentioned in multiple interviews that he brought that song in and Flood hated it, thought it sounded like the Eagles, and Jimmy had this really drawn out, languorous drum fills in it, but Flood worked his magic and made it sound otherworldly.

lmao

yeah i'll try and find the interviews i'm thinking of, he brought it up in the 90s and recently, maybe around the MCIS reissue. he referred to it as this very 70s sounding ballad that was perhaps a bit mediocre

Bill may not be the best singer, (at least in a traditional way ) but at least he was never "90's male rock singer bad". You know what I mean:

I was listening to some Soundgarden (RIP) and even Cornell slipped into that occasionally

Good god. This is a gutting realization. I think I need to smoke more weed and weep, gently weep with sighs interspersed.

took, you got the wrong idea, son.

you are like the shining beacon of light rising faintly over the mountains and filling the heart with a nothern glow with your UR MOM jokes, whereas seth mcfarlane is the kind of throbbing cunt who needs to explain his own dad jokes midway while telling them, yet he still thinks he's amazingly hot shit even though everything he's been doing for like 15 years now sucks

aaand you introduced me to alcest.
