back in the day i read some of the book of mormon (my dad had a copy lying around in his study). some pretty awesome shit, if viewed as fantasy literature. I remember noticing how blatantly plagiarized most of it seemed. Most of it appeared to be based on Old Testament stories, drawing heavily from stuff like Judges, Samuels, Kings, and Chronicles. i was and still am pretty fascinated by mormon stuff because it's very similar to the religion i was born into: seventh-day adventism. early adventist shit is pretty insane as well: the church was founded by a prolific prophetess author (ellen white) who claimed to experience visions and wrote tons of supplementary notes to the canonical scriptures.

i really don't know why i'm sharing all this with you. i think i need to get a job.

i think illiterate people might get confused with some spellings due to pronunciation. think about it. "could have" is quite frequently pronounced "could uv" or "could of" when one speaks quickly. same thing with self esteem. i dunno. just a guess.
