There's no point, reprise. I think it's time to invoke power of attorney and take him off life support.

Well, it's completely accurate if she then started posting here in March of 2018 as per the copy and paste you kindly provided plus the definition of "on and off".

Talk about shifting the goalposts, though, fuzzy.

You made that join date post because you misinterpreted her "on and off" claim as meaning she's been on Netphoria for a decade, anyway.

No it shouldn't.

Man, Falco's the best. How dope of a song is this? Just look how cool this guy is here... No one is cool like this nowadays.

I just did a translation and it makes me like it even more

""Don't turn around, look, look,
the Kommissar is out and about!
When he talks to you
and you know why,
tell him:
'Your life is killing you.'"

That's what I meant when I said I don't understand how a non German speaker could get anything out of Falco songs, the meaning is completely lost. It's a parody of a children's song. that translation is wrong, too, by the way.

Hmmm, interesting. That aspect was definitely completely lost on me. I always thought it was just sorta standard disco fare.

I do know the lyrics as I translate them, but in my opinion, they're just some really great pop songs and he delivers them with an undeniable charisma. In some ways, not having the lyrics slap me in the face as I hear them makes it better for me, because I just assemble my own imagination to the vibe of the song.

I assume you know this, but Der Komisar was covered by an English band and it was a huge hit out in Canada/USA and I think the UK... So it goes to show that it's not just a German speaker who can appreciate the songs.

That is a damn good cover, so I can understand why it was so popular, but I still prefer the Falco version.

For example, Vienna Calling is one of my favorite songs of the past 2-3 months and I love the vocal execution and how it plays with the music, but then I do a translation and the lyrics appear to be largely drivel

Talking about
Stella is in Rio - Stella is in Tokyo
Men ask about fire, after all, anyway
Sugar Chris missed you a lot - your leg and your face
You can do without me - just not on luxury
What do little girls play today, here and there and there,
And in Tucson, Arizona; Toronto, Canada.
Vienna, Vienna you know me up, know me down
You know me.
Vienna, Vienna, you only alone
Where are your women?
Ohoho, operator (so alone at I)
Ohoho, operator (need you to come tonight)
Vienna calling
Two, one, zero - The alarm is red
Vienna in Need - Cha, Cha, Cha
Vienna calling, Vienna calling
And suddenly Maria Marilyn is called
And Eva is called Yvonne
A young Bogart hangs on your lips, little one, and say come on
The curls are settled
The dancers are stopped
It is 4:45, now position is rehearsed
What do little girls play today, here and there and there,
Whether in Tucson, Arizona; Toronto, Canada.
Vienna, only Vienna, you know me up, know me down
Ohoho, operator (so alone at I)
Hello, Vienna calling
Two, one, zero - The alarm is red

So for me, it's almost better that when I hear it, I don't know what he's saying so I can make up my own meaning.

It's truly an excellent song. Sounds way ahead of it's time and almost reminds me of a lot of the stuff that is played on the modern rock stations today.

Excellent music video too. Whether you hate Fuzzy or not, I really think everyone will enjoy that song/video so I urge everyone to give it a chance.

I'd never heard it in my life until I started poking around the Falco discography.

I'm not a big fan of the studio version of this song because it's a little too dancey, but it fucking rips live.

Falco's drummer was a fucking beasssssssssssst. His chops are on great display for this track here

Makes one laugh to consider that a huge rock-star like Billy Corgan hired Mike Byrne to replace JIMMY CHAMBERLIN meanwhile Falco had this guy tearing it up on the skins.

Honestly, this performance is some JC like righteousness on display

And quite honestly, I mean no offense by this and I'm not trying to troll, but I honestly think it wouldn't hurt you to try and broaden your horizons a little bit.

Maybe you'll enjoy some of the material shared in this thread.

Yeah, what i know is u made a thread about corgan down-tuning for most of the classics during the reunion, but it turned out this topic was a fucken scam and a charade, and now you’re just rubbing it in our faces at this point, which i believe violates board rules

Pavementtune graciously changed the thread title to avoid confusion for the fellow boarders (even though it initially ended up confusing me!). Message board threads typically have a fluidity to them. A thread can start out discussing one topic and by the end of the thread, 3, 4 perhaps 5 totally different topics have been covered.

And please, there's no charade. If you chose to do so, you can enter at the beginning of the thread and see that there was a lot of dialogue and conversing regarding Billy and the band presenting the classic songs in a different tuning.

I hope for you that your day gets better, man, cause you sound unnecessarily agitated. A wise one can only assume that it's not this thread that's getting you worked up but something else that's going on in your life.

I reported this thread because it fuckin' sux *shrug*

If it's not Fuzzy trying to talk about some unrelated band, it's Corgan's Bluff posting random pictures for some stupid joke no one cares about.
