The first two albums are good, but I admit they did not age well for me and I really wouldn't have a reason to listen to either of them.

there was this other pretty famous musician who grew up during that same era in washington d.c, and he might be a bit of a preacher these days but he sure as hell hasn't done anything as gay as what dave grohl has done (repeatedly and unashamedly)

grohl was playing in scream when I was a teenager in DC. He was in a part of town that had a big mall. And mall culture. DC hardcore was the greatest thing to happen in my life. I don't get too fighters really. Dave grohl seems like a nice guy. Their band though was competing with stuff like everclear and deftones and pavement and just really radio rock ready goofy friendly. Like a somewhat sort of legit version of green day which I still am baffled. The word punk doesn't mean much for music anymore which is cool because kanye west is way more punk than good charlotte.

apparently he does only one or two drums at a time during recording
that might have only been from the 90s onward but i know at least that's what he did for his role on "The Bottom Line," i'd believe it for shit like halleluwah and mushroomhead as well though cos that shit can get pretty intricate

I pretty much hate everything about him. He actually named his kid North West. Jesus christ. Poor kid.

yeah, i pretty much hope they both suffer for the rest of their lives. (not the kid though, unless it grows into something horrible which it probably will).

Not really, i like it. The other one is prolly better but still a good band

The new dum dum girls album is not as strong as only in dreams but its still super good on its own merits, got to do that first then put it in context

PnT for the most part right now

But I dig Bummed as well from the few songs I've listened to.

This is why music is incredible. You think you've heard every style you're going to like but then you discover some band that wrecks your notion of what music can be and you're scrambling for everything by them

I haven't even started getting into the lyrics yet. I can tell I'm going to get long term enjoyment out of this band

I was at a bar doing some karaoke and someone chose to sing Funky Afro or Kinky Goatee or something and someone said to me "These lyrics are weird, they make no sense at all" and I was like "Yeah, which is strange for something that's supposed to be a dance track"
