Hey! That's in Melbourne! South bank of the Yarra, facing towards Federation Square.

Here's my first car, which recovered from this particular incident but died last week due to head gasket fail:

i don't feel like finding a decent picture of one (i don't have any pictures of what was actually ours), but the first car I drove was a maroon (or maybe "burgundy") 1994 jeep grand cherokee.

i loved it at the time (probably because i was 16 and anything with wheels would have been awesome), but i no longer have any desire to drive anything that large.

My first car in CA was a complete POS 1984 Ford Escort. It had no passenger seat and most of the dash was missing. One fender was white and the rest was grey.

It was also covered in cigarette burns. But hell, I bought it for $400 cash and the damn thing ran enough to get me around to work.

The only picture I have of the old '88 Acura Legend. God that car was deceptively fast and you'd have to try to lose the road with it. I'd buy another one tomorrow if they started producing them new again. Getting rid of the Legend was the worst move Acura ever made.
How long/how many miles did yours last? I need a new car and I've been thinking about one of these. I found one I can afford but it has 144,000 miles on it.

I've driven new RLs and find the TL to be truer to the way the old Legends drove. What made them so badass was how overpowered for how small they were. The RLs are nice granted but don't have the same charm as the old Legends.

Mine was very high miles when I bought it (about 200K) and I drove it for another 60K or so. When I got rid of it the engine was still spinning like a top but the transmission had gone bad. Assuming the Legend you are looking at has been well maintained and clears a mechanic inspection I don't see any reason why it shouldn't last you quite a while. I haven't had mine in close to a decade though so I'd check to make sure replacement parts are still readily available and won't cost you an arm and a leg should you need some minor repairs. The engines on those things were bulletproof.

When I bought it I didn't have a job, which is why I looked for the cheapest thing I could find that ran. I picked up some contract work through Manpower for a while which paid well but wasn't steady enough. I only had that car about 9 mos or so before I bought something I actually wanted.
