Dead Again - B-
Not terrible but at times ridiculous and too corny. The acting was way over the top sometimes and I can't watch Kenneth Branagh without wondering if he is as in love with himself as he seems. |

Just saw Superbad this afternoon. Somewhere in the B+/A- range. Also, Bourne Ultimatum - Ummm, A? B+? Somethin' like that. I'm feelin' indecisive today! |

But I agree with you about Branagh. I watched Rabbit Proof Fence the other day and watched the Making Of, and he said something along the lines, "These girls, though first time actors, were real professional and didn't seem intimidating by me and my expertise at all." |

Like I said, it wasn't terrible but some parts were just a bit too much for me. Not quite goofy but his friend seemed a bit forced to put some comedy in there and there were other parts that stuck out like that. Interesting story and concept but I think it could have been done better if Branagh weren't such a turd. That being said, I love Emma Thompson also. I could watch her in anything.

I think when her career took off and she won and Oscar (he never did - and later she won for writing, the only person to win both for acting and writing) he became jealous, cheated and she dropped him. good riddance.

God awful. That's when it all happened. He cheated on Emma with her old co-star and his Frankenstein co-star Helena Bonham Carter. What a slut.

kenneth brannaugh's performance in the wild wild west is one of the worst things ever pressed to celluloid.
i mean the guy thinks he's lawrence olivier and that's the kind of shit he does? what a d-bag. |

Kenneth Brannagh may have the most punchable face known to humanity.
Straw Dogs is excellent. Most complex and disturbing rape scene in cinema history. I spit on your grave can fuck off. |

Dr. Strangelove - One of the best/funniest movies of all time. A+
Winter Passing - Instantly forgettable but not bad. I thought Ferrell was pretty funny. C Apocalypse Now - This was actually the first time I had ever seen it. It's so ingrained into pop culture that I felt like I knew what was going to happen, so it suffered a bit. Still pretty great though. Needed more Robert Duvall. B+ |

the sad (..in this context...) is the 'villain' gets 'his victory' after the filming of the documentary for what i've read. Which I guess just paints him in an even worse light... my addition: Enter the Dragon (B for Badass) |

Godfather III is so terrible.
It really is amazing how good the first two are though. I saw them only a couple years ago and it was hard to imagine them living up to the hype but they really do. The acting is so uniformly excellent, and with such a large cast. Pretty much every scene with Sonny is one of all-time favorite scenes. |

yeah sonny is awesome, even though his death was inevitable i was bummed when he was killed. i was happy when they showed the flashback to end the 2nd one just because it was cool to see sonny again. i thought de niro did a great job playing young vito, all in all the casting was pretty awesome.
i thought the entire relationship between vincent and mary was lame in the third, but i liked it. pacino has some good dialogue, and i thought garcia did a good job playing sonny's kid. the ending was pretty powerful. |

i think 3 gets a lot of flak because it came after 1 and 2 which are practically flawless. 3 is probably the weakest of the trilogy, but its still very good, and i just love that ending. they really should have casted a different mary, though.
