Billy is suing his wrestling company and filed a restraining order
Damn. Usually Billy's relationships don't have such sour endings.

this article has more detail about what led up to the president thing etc http://pwinsider.com/article/105347/...-more.html?p=1
i wonder if they took him for a ride and got as much money out of him as possible and then didn't deliver what they said they would? and then threatened him or something? i want to believe billy's the good guy in this. it seems like he probably financed a lot of shit for them. i could see it going down like this: corgan's always wanted to own a wrestling company. probably before he even wanted to be in a band because he's talented and lucky as shit, he got to fulfill his dream with that other company but it fell through so he put a ton of money into TNA and seemed poised to fulfill the dream of his inner 10 year old but they took him for a ride or he wanted too much or whatever happened and now his inner 10 year old took his ball and went home. though the restraining order is a nice oddity. obviously i have no idea what really happened. |

Well that took a turn for the worse. I hope he considers himself "done" with wrestling. After the bad endings for this and the last wrestling league he ran, I cannot imagine other ventures will be keen to hire him.

the reunion tour should have fucked up silverfucks and xyus but instead of talking about courtney and chris it'll be about TNA executives. like that pretend diary thing he did but all about PPV money down the drain

"billy from the 90's would hate billy from now" - Billy Corgan circa 2008 (not an exact quote - someone look it up?!)

This is goddamned hilarious.
Could it be this is the reason he says he's 'ready to write rock music again'? He's all angry and pissy now? |

Maybe Billy became super tight with the wrestlers in his league. Didn't like the way they were being treated, like second class entertainers or something. Like they'd signed away their dignity, and respect for bread crumbs. Thought they deserved better. Knew only one way to make a difference, if a difference could be made at all.
Made some promises, man of his word, yadda yadda yadda. Hoped putting pressure on an already sinking ship would make things give. If nothing else, perhaps the bonds he's made with the wrestlers will help him grind the money making machine to a halt. It's the wrestlers that make the business after all. In the end, maybe he was wrong, but he knew one thing, he wasn't about to make a deal with the devil. So, maybe this is it for him. Maybe he fades away on the roadside, gone and forgotten. He had his day, but all good things come to an end. Nothing lasts forever. One thing is for sure though, roustabout won't be on the new album, if there's another album at all. Maybe he realized albums are overrated anyways.

From reading a bunch of other articles and commentary by people more familiar with rasslin', it seems like this Dixie Carter person's basically been running the company into the ground and borrowing money off people for a good long while without bothering to pay them back.
If that's the case, well, shit, go get 'em, Bill. Finance that Machina reissue! |
