same complaint i had about wrath.. too much singing. just vocals vocal vocals, barely any instrumental breaks. every moment of this song is filled with singing.

and then it ends.

birch grove is the best thing i've heard so far. exactly what i'd expect from musicians i like to do to take advantage of synths+samples but still sound like them. lovely wall of sound, great jimmy groove

Ok so 5 songs in and this isn't Smashing Pumpkins, it's Billy solo with two chicks harmonizing on every song. Like dude Drab Majesty isn't even that good to base your whole album sound around.

First it was TCoL and CYR are the synthy lead offs, then it was the first four songs are synthy but the other 16 will be different. Now it’s half and half.

You can F off. I don't participate in SP Facebook or Sad Machines for a reason, and that's because I can't stand all of the insincere positivity that's spewed out in those places. Its been obvious since 96' we weren't going back fuzz guitars and solos, and as much I'd love them to return to that it's just not happening. The truth is probably that behind all of Billy's nonsense and arrogance about his music changing is that he probably just got sick of playing classic SP style after recording a million songs and still to this day having to play them over and over on tour. If he wants to use synths then that's fine. Its never going to be SD, Pisces, or MCIS but that doesn't mean its totally crap either
