Would be really cool to split the album soundwise and the last chance to release a good one

50-51 tracks not including outtakes.

Currently being mixed.

What the fuck. Please let this be true.

What could these 50-51 tracks even be?

Because I've wanted to hear this album put together properly since 2000

Because If something isn't to my liking I move on instead of curling up in a corner crying and going "wahh wahh nothing will ever be good again"

I am a fan of Machina and I do not care about this at all. Will probably still listen to the originals. I am not a fan of remasters.

These days it all seems normal because we've been inundated with 20 years of loud at any volume production.
The premaster is vastly superior and I encourage everyone who is interested to Google it

These are being mixed

and mastered.

key word being mixed

because Machina 2 was never mixed properly to begin with.

Clean sounding Machina 2 tracks.

for fucks sake - that could be rad.

So I guess we're not getting that many unheard of songs from this era, bummer.

Here is my list that I composed before his IG video which is oddly 51 tracks:
1. 3rd Boogie
2. Age of Innocence
3. Aldo Novocaine
4. Autumn
5. Blue Skies Bring Tears
6. Cash Car Star
7. Drain
8. Dross
9. End of the Joke
10. Glass and the Ghost Children
11. Glass' Theme
12. Go
13. Heavy Metal Machine
14. Here I Am
15. Here's to the Atom Bomb
16. Home
17. I of the Mourning
18. If There Is a God
19. In My Body
20. Innosense
21. Jester's Dance
22. Laugh
23. Le Deux Machina
24. Let Me Give the World to You
25. Lover
26. Lucky 13
27. Pale Scales
28. Raindrops + Sunshowers
29. Real Love
30. Rock On (David Essex)
31. Saturnine
32. Sleeping Giant
33. Slow Dawn
34. Soot and Stars
35. Soul Power (James Brown)
36. Speed Kills
37. Stand Inside Your Love
38. The Crying Tree of Mercury
39. The Everlasting Gaze
40. The Imploding Voice
41. The Sacred and Profane
42. This Time
43. Try, Try, Try
44. Untitled
45. Vanity
46. White Spyder
47. Winterlong
48. With Every Light
49. Without You
50. Wound
51. Wurlitzer Piece

Was the Machina era B-side "Liberty and the Epiphany Machine" real?

Was "We Love You" ever recorded?

Is "Identify" considered Machina era?

I was hoping that Satellites would have some kind of full band rock version from the Machina sessions.

Billy considers Identify to be Machina era and said it will be included (the same demo that leaked I’m assuming)

I don't think Pale Scales, Rock On or Soul Power are going to be on the core album.
One's a tour intro, the other two toss-off covers.

This isn't CD1: Machina 1, CD 2&3: Machina 2.

Le Deux Machina is the centre piano piece (synth demo) of GATMOG. Assuming that is still present the way it was on the initial version of M1 there's no reason for it to show up again. Even if they use a different version of song like the leaked version I can't see it showing up as a toss-off instrumental demo just sitting there.

He confirmed a while back Saturnine wasn't going to be part of the tracklist either

I'm assuming all that stuff is relegated to b-sides and bonus disc material.

Rock On and Soul Power are 100% part of the core album and the reason for the rights dispute / delay.

No. If it were that simple they would have just not included them the first time they did the tape transfer in 2014.

IIRC Bill also said that on the IG Q&As a few years back that he wasn't paid properly for the Adore reissue and that was one of the things holding them back. To my knowledge that's the only concrete bit of info we've ever had apart from bullshit speculation about covers or Vasily Kafanov's artwork.

I think I’m at peace with the washed out and white noise mixes of Slow Dawn, Vanity, RL etc

It’s been too long and I don’t wanna know how modern Billy re-purposes this stuff.

WPC considers them essential to the story.

for those three it absolutely, absolutely enhances the aesthetic

it doesn't necessarily do so on glass' theme, cash car, etc, but honestly i don't give a shit, i still don't want to hear 2020 corgan ruin it. there's plenty of good live boots with those

Well, Monuments may have been a piece of shit record but it was produced well for what it was, same with Cyr and Cotillons

Shiny V1 was Rick Rubin's fault

The only time in recent memory when Bill's production left a bit to be desired for me was Oceania, and that's because the drums sounded absolutely programmed

Nothing wrong with enjoying MII for what it always has been but that "aesthetic" is straight up unfinished and tossed off, always was. Sounded like shit to me on first listen back in the day

Hell, the MCIS remaster was straight up stellar. Bill's not at the mixing or mastering desk.

I mean, I can totally understand not having faith in Bill these days but look at it this way

Worst comes to worse, just take the new track order and apply it to the old tracks where you can, see if that works for you, or just apply the MI and II configurations to the new versions. Fuck, I'm probably gonna do that anyway and have a few different configurations to listen to.

If you sit there convincing yourself it's going to be shit your reaction to it is probably a foregone conclusion and that's on you

You talking shit into production.

The production isnt the prob. Bollys lame songwriting, unbearable lyrics and choice of instruments is horrible.
No good songs....

i know it's a taste thing, but it really isn't produced well. it lacks finese, the highs are overblown and songs lack structure and dynamics. It produced like a europop hit, just super flat, super loud. Generic pop production basically, long gone are the days of endless studio experimentation, building walls of sound and all that cool jazz that makes us live in the past.

Oceania sounded somewhat decent, even if the songs were substanceless.
