well, first of all, he is not married

The only "soul" element of this song is the Dark Side of the Moon backing vocals

Yeah, no thanks. The gospel vocals are cringeworthy. I can't get out of my mind's eye the image of Billy on stage doing his SAOSB tour dance alongside 3 gospel singers in robes.

The whole song just sounds so thin. I guess on the positive side, at least he's exploring a bit.

Bowie did this kind of thing 10x better on a Young Americans. The female backup vox are the best part of the song.

The nasal woo woos are silly, and the first half of the song sounds too sparse and awkward

I'll actually take some Teargarden tracks over this. The Fellowship, Astral Planes, Tom Tom are much better tracks than this.

the woo woo woo parts are such cringe. This song is subpar at best. SS (Ghosts) was way better

So far this has caused the most split reaction. Most people didn't like Solara, and most people enjoyed Silvery.

The first five seconds honestly sound like some terrible drunk karaoke though, I can't believe they started the song like that

Yeah, I've listened to it a few times now and on reflection it isn't as awful as I first thought, but the bar has been lowered over the years which I suspect is part of the problem. Nowhere near as innovative as Razor Star made out. If anything it feels distinctly conservative...or even retrograde.

There is no way I'd normally go out of my way to listen to this type of music.

C+

I think the real question here is did that first W in the thread title really need capitalizing?

and you know, this would sound pretty good with massive guitars (i.e. marquis in spades or mouths of babes) and a guitar lead instead of the woo woo woo

What a mess. The lyrics, singing, and music are all parody-level bad. A strong contender for the worst song he's ever released.

Yikes.... no, I don’t like it.

It must be hard to Iha work with Maynard James Keenan in that brilliant dark music an then come to work with Corgan singing about rainbows.
