told this story at least half a dozen times here but when I got my wisdom teeth out in high school, the swelling in my throat triggered some really strange, rare reaction type thing in which tissue pressed against some nerve or something, and induced hiccups. Beginning about 2 hours after I left surgery, I had uncontrollable, violent hiccups for the next ~72 hours. It was nightmarish. I honestly cannot recall the pain from the procedure because it is eclipsed by my diaphragm and chest being so sore I felt like I was having a heart attack every time i hiccuped. By the end I was in a state of delirium from not sleeping. Doctor gave me Thorazine, Thorazine, Thoraaaaziiiine to calm me down. Hiccups subsided within half an hour.

Since then, every time I get a hiccup my stomach fills with a sensation of black dread and my blood runs cold.

But seriously did they give you any good drugs?

man the back one he was like "this one might sound a little gross, it's basically just a candy shell" and when he yanked it there was this cracking like someone crushed one of those candy coated peanuts with a pair of pliars

man i'm so glad to have those things out of my mouth

and my groceries just now were sushi, hummus, gelato and three varieties of yogurt so maybe this won't be so bad

i'm going to have to smoke a little bit i mean, i know it's not good but it's not going to be like the normal daily amount, far in reduced. this would be my first smoke since before the surgery...also it's real hard to be at home all day and not blaze up hardcore but i guess i can just not do that at all *sigh*

o tacos, wherefore art thou

They had to break my jaw for this shit. Then I got an extreme sinus infection. That sucked.

But yeah follow their procedures because dry socket will make you insane.

actually it's the smoking sucking action that can pop your blood clot and cause dry socket

so even when i cheat and i'm trying to smoke a cigarette all i can think of is drysocketdrysocketdrysocketdrysocket so i've smoked maybe a half so far today

i smoked a little bit and drank out of straws pretty quickly without any problems. but then i went to solid food a little too quickly and prolonged the pain by like a week. so i'd advise against that.

yeah i think it's that hot shit that'll make it all fucked

i'm really not in pain, i wonder if i'm just baller like that or if really the pain of having those nasty teeth in my mouth for so long was actually far more painful than having open holes in my jawbone
