jazz night at the local church
Friday nights there is live jazz at the church near me. I went last week for the first time. It was pretty good. A five piece band. pianist, upright bassist, drummer, trumpet player, and saxophonist. It was all instrumental except for one song towards the end. Saturday nights is supposedly live blues night.

CW, fuck church jazz, how do you feel about I Break Horses???
I'm thinking Hearts was basically their masterpiece and their follow up (this year's Chiaroscuro) is very lackluster and captures none of their initial potential. (can't believe that's a serious question but whaddyagonnado) |

I listened to the first I Break Horses album. It's pretty good. Not as good as Tamaryn or Exit Calm as far as modern shoegaze though.

I never got into Tamryn but I'm willing to give it another go. Exit Calm I just recently revisited and naw, not really feeling it.

The second I Break Horses album sounds more like Chvrches or m83 than the first album.

Since you like Chvrches I recommend you check out Com Truise. He is very retro synth pop sounding.
