I don't want another war but if they start making serious threats to attack the US then it's gonna be a tough decision...and they have been making serious threats.

the US never really "leaves" a country it invades. we still have bases in germany, japan and korea. as for iraq i thought it was obvs there were still going to be surgical strikes and the like and there will be for decades. same goes for afghanistan/pakistan border... there's really no way to end a "war" in the middle east unless you want to be rigidly non-interventionist (which may be the right way to go about things. i dunno)
