Yeah he was a bruiser. I had a few stitches afterward, but not many. Can you believe someone has stitched a tear in my vagina back together I can barely believe it myself

The tearing is probably the most uncomfortable part of birth. Everything else hurts, but the moment a small human actually passes through the opening of your vagina your only thought is ohmygodohmygoditstoobigohmygod. It's terrifying. Afterwards they're like well, we can stitch it or leave it to heal itself and I was like stitch that shit back together ASAP oh my god it broke my vagina can you please just put it back together

Tearing (within reason) is better than the episiotomies that were so commonly done preemptively. My mom had 4 of those.

I'm no expert but this is what I would call an A++ preference

Shostakovich is usually described as a 20th century composer. His music takes the form of classical works but stylistically it's very different, so, technically speaking listening to Shostakovich would not be considered listening to classical music.

I don't know if it's a good idea for me to say that or not sorry if it is a bad idea

Yeah I've heard it can act like when you make a cut in a piece of fabric - it rips much easier after just a small cut. I donut know if that's true or not, but I have read accounts of 4th degree tears with episiotomies.

I've also heard the wound doesn't heal as well where the incision is made, because with a tear the flesh is ragged and knits together better than a clean cut.

Yeah you got this right.

I know a woman with 13 kids here in Singapore. Women who grow and birth that many kids are like supernatural or something.

Giving birth seems like one of the absolute scariest things ever to me.

Was talking to a friend who had her first baby not that long ago and she had some horror stories to tell. Yikes.

Yeah, that is a snobbish thing to say. That comment was 100% snark. It was a joke response, partly motivated by your recently thread and the Louis CK joke.

Is there anything else we can do to prolong the negative attention or will that be it?

I want hate Wynton Marsalis because every time I hear an interview with him I think what a fucking pompous douchebag.

But I do find his playing utterly sublime.

And to be fair, I guess feel that way about every musician I hear an interview with.

oh yeah i really do not like him as a person. he's also not a great jazz player.

there's a story of him once walking onstage uninvited during miles' set and miles was just like "fuck this guy" but let him take a few bars anyway. his solo sucked and then miles kicked him offstage and blew him away.

dude can definitely shred a piece of sheet music though.

Fortunately, he was later hired on by the DNC and shipped off to Mars to work at a bone marrow processing facility.
